I have not seen (heard of) the display stand, for us, (will not fit with oil cooler) but have seen picture of the new "center-stand".  I called the factory folks, and they claim it will fit on the CUSE2.  They said "If it is not excluded, then it is included".  See it here:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448770866&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302290947&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302290947&bmUID=1181940864624&bmLocale=en_US

I did note that the one from Rivco, does exclude the FLHTCUSE.  No indication of why.

I have the Rivco on my  06 CUSE. Fits perfect.  I love it and use it all the time. When traveling, put it on the center stand, cover it, and it looks like a Gold Wing.   ;D

Thanks for the info.  I guess that it would be called a center stand.  Again thanks for the P/N.

SCEWTR,

RIVCO has two center stands for Harley Touring models.  The HD-001 is for standard height suspensions (13" rear shocks), and the HD-001A (adjustable) is for lowered bikes such as the SEEG's.  I've had the adjustable model on my SEEG2 for over a year now, and have had no clearance or other issues.  It is very well made and nicely chromed, and tucks up out of the way a little better than the new Harley part, at least from the photo's I've seen.  Give them a call if you have questions about fitment; excellent group of folks.   http://www.rivcoproducts.com/

Sorry for putting out bad info.  I have not visited Rivco site for a while, and had not seen the second center stand.

Glad to hear it is a little better, because I noticed it costs a little less.

Do you happen to have a photo of the stand, installed?

Thanks Jerry

Buddy of mine has the H-D Center stand on his 07 FLHTCUSE and it works and looks great.  Best price that I have found is from Chicago Harley for 279.00 delivered

Word of caution:  If you have stock headers, or headers as large as stock, you will have to loosen or remove them in order to install the bolts that attach the stand to the the frame.  It is a lot more work then you imagine.

I just came form the Harley store, where the service manager said that he has installed 1 center stand, and it took two healthy guys to rock/lift the bike on to the center stand, after it was installed.  I have had several large motorcycles with center stands, so I know there is a knack to it that most Healthy Harley Guys may not have acquired.

Any of you guys with center stands think they are that hard to use?

Is the Rivco unit easier to install?

I looked at the Harley unit and it does look pretty complicated.  There is a "U" shaped bar which attaches to the sides of the frame near the rear foot rest.

Thanks for the info.

SCEWTR,

1.> My experience has been that the center stand is not as easy to operate as the ones that came stock on the Japanese bikes I owned over the years.  When I first installed mine, I thought I was going to have to send it back.  After practicing with it awhile, I now have no problem with it.  Another member (Mobe) indicated the same type of experience, but once he developed a feel for it he claims he can do it barefoot now.

2.> The RIVCO is a very easy install, maybe 10 minutes tops.  I'll attach the installation instructions for your review.

I just got one of these up at Americade. Can't believe how easy it is to get up on the stand! I know its not chromed but I didn't want something else to polish. :-X

What pipes are you running on your bike? Any interference w/pipes? If you are running aftermarket pipes can you possible post some pictures so we could see how this product will fit w/them. TIA.
