Hi there to everyone.
I've been lurking just a bit as I've been interested in getting a new SERK for myself. I have a '76 FLH right now and it's been a fun ride including the semi rebuild. It's dependable but just really beats you up when you ride for more than about a tank a day.
I've been a gearhead all my life, starting with go karts in my grade school days, then building and welding up my own mini bikes, then we sold Bridgestone motorcycles and I did the repair/service on them, then we opened a marina and I was the mechanic, then I raced snowmobiles for the Michigan Ski Doo distributor, then, then, and it goes on from there. Oh, also service manager for a Chevy/Pontiac dealership for about 15 years.
I've been an avid street rodder for many years. I've built a couple and had lots of fun doing it. All the time I've had bikes of some sort.
In '02 my wife and I moved to St. Louis from Michigan. My wife is from this area and after moving her to Michigan 15 years earlier, she's happy to get back "home"...
Right now I have a '55 Nomad gasser project with a BBC 540 ci 660 hp along with my '76 FLH.
I'm probably going to sell both if I can to be able to get into the SERK without financing.

For right now, here's my current ride.
Before in all it's glory...

After in all it afterglow...

I've added a RK removable windshield that makes it very nice to go with or without in about 5 seconds.
Sorry to ramble with the intro.
Thanks in advance for the welcome.
Dan
