« on: June 20, 2007, 06:28:48 PM »

All - anyone know what size throttle body is on the 110 in motor in the SEUC?

Tuner I am taking it to thinks it is 50mm, I don't know...would like to know for
sure when I take it..so I can think about another one if needed.

It's 46mm.  From what I've been told/read the motor can't use all that's being delivered to it now, so if you're staying stock on the engine mods, and just doing pipes and A/C, the TB should be fine as is.

If you're doing bigger/better things, then take a look as the Screamin' Eagle 50mm TB with the 4.9 injectors.

TCnBham - thanks for the response.

Nothing for now aside from what you mentioned. Taking bike to tmanperformance.com and
have TR's folks dyno the bike and try to get the heat out and a little better performance.

Bike runs like chit when it gets hot and is pinging. Dealer sucks and admitted rush job
which is probably going to cost me some motor work in the end. Sorry for bitching.

T man performance is (are) as good as a tuner can get.

You will be pleased when they finish your bike.

Ask them about the silver and black 120" Frontier, they know the bike well.

Dig,
Mine also runs like crap when hot too, no power, but doesn't ping.  Left the bike with my local dealer to correct this problem and picked it up this morning.  They said they couldn't find anything wrong with the bike.........    :(

Let us know if tman helps.  If so, I'll be making a trip to NC!

As said before The 07 SEUC comes with the 46mm throttle body and the injectors are set to 3.91 gm/sec.

Unless you're stuck on Harley Parts for reasons of dealer support / warranty etc,  I would make the recommendation to look at and consider going with the Horsepower Inc Throttle bodies over the Screaming Eagle 50mm.   The Horsepower Inc flows much better than the harley.

Just because the butterflys are equal in size does not mean they flow the same amout of air.  The Horsepower Inc intake is much larger and handles a larger volume of air through it.   It also supports cruise control and comes in different finishes such as the black mat, satin.  Yes it costs more, and you may have to buy the larger injectors separately, but it does produce better flow / results.

The reason you may have to buy larger injectors is depending on your duty cycle of the ones you have you may already have enough fuel being delivered.   This can be checked for you as well.

If you have the Screaming Eagle 50mm and your setting up your constants it is 4.89 gm/sec.

Hi all - well, no tman for now..he is having the dyno down for 3-4 weeks, something to do with moving it somewhere.

He recommended a guy named Brian at Iron Thunder in raleigh, nc.

I put in a call today to Brian, no word back yet, they are closer and TR said Brian did a damn good job.

no mods other than the sert/ac and exhaust...thinking about true duals...I will talk to Brian about this as well.

TR recommended going this route...I don't care, I just want it better...hopefully I can get it done before july 4th week...I am riding bike to VA for a 10 day vacation to the lake..mountain riding..whatver else I can get into.

If I cannot get it done before then...I am riding it anyway, hope it f'ing blows...then back to the dealer for another one.

Still love the bike, hate that HD is doing this crap. I will update however it turns out when I get it dynoed yet again.

alright all - bike is at Iron Thunder Cycles in raleigh, nc right now...new rinehart true dual, power commander with O2 eliminator and getting tuned.

Brian said that the current/original dealer numbers were chit and that they would be much better when I get the bike back.
So as waste of money on on buying the S/E race tuner and vance and hines classic slash cuts with billit end caps. :)

He said that while he could change the timing some with the sert, he could do more with timing and O2 eliminator with the PC and would gaurantee much better performance and good torque with the rinehart system as well as get the F'ing heat down.

Will see what happens...I am not spending ANY more money screwing with this performance and heat...hopefully this will take care of it.

now to sell my vance and hines classic slash cuts with billit end caps on ebay. and recoup some of this damn money.

I will update no later than Monday with the results.
