It appears that Harley finally got the message on the lousy Tour-Pak light - I saw a yellow at a local dealership Sunday, and it came with the new LED light.

Here are the H-D part numbers for the 3-light kit as well as the single light kit.

Since day one, my tour pack light doesn't work. I was looking to get the light changed or repared at my next and 1st tune up (1000 m). I think now it is safer to keep it ''out of order''

The new style light has to be manually turned on.  You can do this by pressing the entire light upward.  It will click and turn on.  It is really a much better system than the old one, but unfortunately it is so new that even some dealership employees won't know how to turn it on.........

Well, we'll just see about that "how good is your dealer" question this afternoon.  I'm heading down there in about a half and hour and we'll see what they do about it..  Anybody know what the service bulletin number is?

Geez, I thought the tour pak light was one of the things they got right! Have never had a problem on the SERG2  or my Classic. Maybe retrofit to the 01 light!

Nope, same story from my dealer yesterday.  When I asked about the light and related the problem that I'm having with it, he said " just knock on the lid and the light should go out", and "nope, haven't heard anything bad about the lights, harley would have sent you a recall letter if there was a problem", and " nope, haven't seen any different lights on the new yellow ones we got, I guess we might not have looked in the tour-pac"...  Guess I just need to travel to a different dealership to get warranty work done... Can't believe a service rep or service manager actually said "just knock on [it]."   Can't get more unacceptable than that.
