Harry, Joe tells me I'll definitely feel the difference in the way the bike rides with the 62! So it's staying! And if the Tuned Runner does what he thinks, that's staying too! I'll wait a few more days. That thing is gonna end up how I like it after all this. And I like that Tuned Runner! ;)

Wise-ass! I'm probably taking Amtrak up on Tues alone, if we don't pick it up this weekend. Waiting to hear from Joe right now. I'm in a holding pattern! ;) Hoist! 8)

Howie,
Went from Your_Royal_PIA_Highness to Wise_A$$ in only a few days, what a fall from royalty.  :huepfenlol2:

Better get those tickets now I hear they are cheaper when you buy them in advance  ::)  If your lucky you can get one of the train cars with no air conditioning and you can stick your head out the window and simulate the ride to Albany like you were on your scooter.

There'll be no train rides or head sticking out window! The bike will be picked up tomorrow! :P

TODAY'S UPDATE:

Here's the Dyno run of the final build. 62 mm and the filter it came with. No more S&S A/C! :( It's tuned for the best possible rideability now. It didn't quite make 130 TQ, but the TQ and HP curve are phenomenally smooth! And a beautiful AFR line too! He tells me the bike just pulls great from 1800 on up. 120.0 HP126.2 TQ. Could've probably squeezed a few more ft-lbs out of it, but at the expense of some bottom end smoothness and rideability. Having it run perfectly smooth at all RPM's, run cool, and get decent gas mileage was the priority. And be fast too! Now we get to see how it rides tomorrow and if it's everything I expect it to be. Hope this scan works this time. ;)

No competition from that 124 at the beach.
Otis went to a smaller motor. (must be concerned about fuel economy :nixweiss:)
Nothing but hot air from Florida.
Really look forward to meeting Pete 4854 and Factory Phil someday.
Hubbard's to busy to play.
NOPE, not worried but I was hoping for more!
Sorry Bud!

Ok....now here is a question....

I have no idea how the cam set up is on the SERK 110 engine vs the stock road kings....but I noticed all of the "chatter" here about the cams seems to be with the stock style replacement cams...so my question is.....does the SERK 110 use the chain tensioners too? and if so, why not change to gear drive with gear driven cams?????????

You haven't been doing all your homework here, eh Grasshopper? ;D

The 110 still has chain drive. The tensioners are the new hydraulic type and seem to be much better. The concern with the bottom end and the pinion runout gives reason to be concerned about using gears. Gears need good, consistent runout. You mash your gears, you lose your motor! Not worth the risk, but luckily they have that better tensioner system now! ;)

Congratulations on finishing your project. Sounds like you are going to have alot of fun riding it. We got simular HP #'s but your build got you about 20 more lbs. of torque. What do you contribute to that much more tq ? Was it just the choice of cam's or do you think it was the larger tb. Or was it something else I need to do. For right now I stayed with the stock 46mm which I am going to change out in a couple of months. Don't think just me changing the TB will make that much difference......HARRY you can speak up too.. Searching for more torque.!

Kingdog,

First thing I would get rid of is the throttle body even in stock form these motors want to breathe.   This is most evident by the MoCo releasing a 50mm throttle body for the stock engine.   I don't recall what cam and pistons your running or your compression on the motor and who did your heads?

With Wes I picked this 595 cam to augment his headwork and larger flow with velocity we did not know since it was the first of this combination with the 110 if the 55mm 58mm or the 62mm was the right fit.  I have a 58mm on order for the 595 cam.

I did not go higher lift in the cam, because I wanted this to be a reliable, rideable bike long distance and still have some power to play if need be.

If you put more air to the motor and your numbers don't come up, the first places I would look at are at the velocity of the heads, the breathing of the motor your pipes, and the cam choice.
