Headed Out

Headed out this morning for 9 days.  Running up through WV, then over to the Skyline in VA, BRP, then into MV towards the end of the trip.  Nice leisurely pace of about 2500 miles in that time frame...just cruisin' and taking in the sights, smells, and feel of those beautiful mountains.  See ya'll in 9 days!! Scoot's all shined up, new oil, she's wearing a new bag on her TP, and the GPS is loaded with our route and stops.  Will have lots of pics, I promise.

Rode up the interstate and stayed in Princeton, WV last night.  I think we got one of the last motel rooms in town!!  About 500 miles with a couple of hours riding in rain showers towards the end.  Got up this AM and took two lanes through the Eastern Part of WV...460, 219, 33, 28, 55, 279, then into Front Royal.  Just finished a good steak, got the bike halfway cleaned up with a pressure washer, and plan on meeting d00d halfway down the Skyline tomorrow. 

If you've not ridden through WV, I highly recommend it  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:  Nice twisty roads in good shape.  Weather today was fantastic!!!  54 degrees in the morning, warming up to about 80 in the afternoon.  The new jackets are THE ticket for this kind of riding.  Tomorrow promises to be great temps as well.  Bike is all bedded down for the night, with the cover on after her bird bath this afternoon.
