Rog, like the other guys here, Glad to here the scoot is running good for you and in
time for the trip.
My 07 SE Ultra runs near Zero too at idle and I am running the K&N Oil Filter with
Royal Purple in the belly.  Bike runs MUCHO cooler now with the Royal Purple, but the
idle pressure is the same as when it came with the Syn3.
Have Fun,
TimBone

I have been surprised at how cool I've been running with the warm weather, no complaints though.  Looking forward to the Nelson run and testing out where the temp goes when we make longer/faster runs in hot weather.

Big Al, Mike and I made some darn good time across CO/UT on our way home from CC before I dropped the Syn3.  Things would get a bit noisy in the gearbox/engine department when hot with the Syn3, seems way better now with the Mob1 V-Twin.

Roger, I've noticed the same thing with the engine noise switching to M1 V-Twin on two different bikes now.  The top end has been noticeably more quiet on both motors that I've switched to the M1 on, the first one (an '02 Electra Glide Classic) after switching from the H-D dyno oil and the SEEG after switching from Syn3 to M1.  Never noticed much difference in noise in the gearbox, though both bikes shift notiecably more smoothly with M1.  But the noise reduction in the valvetrain of the engines on both bikes has been pretty striking.

Hope you have things sorted out with the bike for the trip . . . . ride safe!

I noticed the same thing after switching to AMSOIL.  I was running Bel-Ray 85W140 in the tranny, but switched to AMSOIL just to keep things simple.  although it shifts smooth, I can hear it again, so I'm thinking of going back to Bel-Ray.  Other than that, AMSOIL MCV in the engine and primary works very well.

Rog...a bit late here, but I'm running the same oil and mine never drops below 10PSI when idling, even in Alabama's hottest weather.  I think you're good to go with the M1.

Thanks Terry, I was just making sure, appreciate the direct comparison.

Charlie,

Consumption of 1 quart in 5000 miles (assuming you're changing at the recommended intervals) is considered to be very good.  Actually, the MoCo will tell you that 1 quart in 1000 miles is normal.
