My SERK3 rotors are 11.5", correct. Different everything. Get a good set of calipers and call it a day! That's coming up soon too! ::) Hoist! 8)

OK Hoist

Go ahead and get you that new S/E Ultra.
We all know you want it.
I will give you 17-5 for your SERK as it sits.
But you have to promise to not do anything else to it before I pick it up!
Not even wash it.

And no I don't really want it but hell, what are friends for.
Stop drooling over that Copper bike!

No cables here.....It also looks like two small cables/tubes crossing over the clutch line. Could that be the ABS lines?
Looking closer I do think I see something that could be a braided cable right next to the backbone, but its hard to tell what it could be.

Here's what I got from AMA Test on another thread:
And, there's another advantage to electronic throttle control for a company known for styling. No cables means a cleaner look for the handlebar. The electronic wires run inside the handlebar. The other big news is Harley's new ABS system, which is standard on the Road King and Ultra Classic CVOs and will be a $795 option on all regular Harley touring models and VRSC models for 2008. It's an all-new system for Harley, and some wet pavement during our one-day ride provided some opportunity to prove that it works. The Harley system maintains separate operation of front and rear brakes. Steel braided lines run unobtrusively from both master cylinders to a controller unit located under the right side panel, then back to the brake rotors. If the wheel sensors detect lockup, the control unit pulses the brakes up to seven times per second to prevent the wheels from locking up. As with the throttle, Harley paid a lot of attention to the styling, as well as the performance. You have to look carefully, and know where to look, to see any visual evidence of the ABS system. Not only are the additional brake lines well hidden, but Harley also put great effort into making the wheel sensors unnoticeable. "It's totally invisible and that was an important part of the system," said Harley Director of Product Communications Paul James. The sensors operate using magnetically encoded rings in the wheel bearings. Harley showed us the parts to demonstrate how they work. The two metal rings look like thin spacers. I let them clamp together by magnetic force and turned one with my hand. The two rings "click" in steps as the magnetically encoded spots interact. That's what sends signals to the ABS control unit without the need for a big, external sensor that would detract from Harley's traditional styling. Looking at the wheel alone, there's no way to tell if the motorcycle has ABS or not."

I just got off the phone with a friend who is a motorcop in NY. We were talking about ABS & how not all police departments have ABS on their bikes. We were disscussing the pros & cons & he told me of a department there that just ordered ~15 w/o ABS. Most don't like it.

Chit, the more I look at the new white/silver SE Ultra, the more I like it but the paint scheme doesn't jump out and grab me at all. I like the bronze/black scheme much better but I have always wanted a white ultra.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?????????????
I have my banana set up perfect for me now and there is no way I would sell it. 2 SE Electras in the stable, nawwwwwwwwwwwww. (but maybe)

One that seems like it would make harder is a controlled laydown, not that that's the most common thing to do anyway.

Mark, here is my advice from someone who just got the SEUC to add to my Cherry SEEG.  From memory you do primarily solo riding.  For me the Ultra is a two up bike.  Granted I don't have the Ultra "fixed" yet with the performance mods of the cherry but I find it less fun to ride.  My cherry is a kick in the pants ride.  I bought the SEUC largely for Susan's comfort on long two up rides.  For what it's worth.  :cherry:

Don't know if someone already posted this but the best detailing of what's new is on the press release section of the HD website.  Here is the cite to the press releases.

Thanks for the input, the left side of my brain was screaming for a rational answer. You are right, all of my riding is solo but I had in the back of my mind if I could ever get Kathy to get on once, she would go back to riding and the way I have the SEEG set up, it would not ever be comfortable for 2 up.
Thanks for the thoughts.

Twolane, do yourself a favor, and don't use my name in any of your posts unless you have permission.

Rhino, buddy; you started any unfriendliness that began.  Name calling and insults started on your side of the fence.  I even tried simply deflecting your first volley to keep it friendly.  You chose to pursue the tone though.  If you can't live with someone not caring for it you shouldn't have taken the first step.

You've got another option though.  You could say "hey, sorry, I got a bit more involved than I should have.  No harm done.  Wanna shake hands?"

I'll accept the offered hand.  Just about always will.  If not that's up to you.  But permission?  Rhino.

Chuck, read an article off site late last night.  I think I even remember posting it here on the site somehere.  But it was late and I don't remember for sure.

Article had seen a Road King hands on with the ABS system.  Said control unit was under right side cover.  Said front and rear brakes were not interconnected but both were ABS.  So plumbing from both master cylinders to control unit then on to wheels.  It also said at least part of the rotation sensor pack was accomplished via magnets in new wheel spacers and wheel bearings.  I did not specifically describe the other half of the sensor package that would carry pulse sensing back to the control unit though.

Have no idea yet what/how/if it could be retrofit.  But still can't wait to see one in person.

I read that one too. I think I'll bail on the idea of an '07 with ABS. With the CAD drawings I saw in the tech sheets this AM, there were a lot of changes done to the frame in the midsection. I'm thinking I'll get ABS on my next bike instead of the current one.

I also read one of the other test ride reports describing the sensation of the system, and they said the feedback to the pedal and lever were pretty significant, especially the pedal. I really want to jump on one and hammer the brakes just to try it out.

Oh well, c'mon 2013's.
