Moving tour pack back
« on: July 09, 2007, 11:30:53 PM »

I have been wondering if anyone out there has moved their leather tour pack back a few inches  to give the passager more room?  I have a 2007 SE Ultra.  Read all of the tour pack removal topic, however, I want to keep the pack on.

Ideas??

the stock tour pak has three adjustment locations. From the factory they come on the closest setting. I was able to move it back two inches. 4 bolts = 10 minutes

I just did mine. Best thing I've done to the bike for 2-up riding. The stock holes will not go far enough back to get the job done. This will...

Give him a call. Took me 20 mins to install. My wife couldn't be happier now.  :carrot:

Received my parts from George Anderson today.  I am so happy!  Although, It took me a little long that 20 minutes to install.  Or, Maybe it was the refreshments that slowed Me down.

I love the extra room for passenger.  In addition, I think I can hear the back speakers better. LOL

Thanks for everyones help. :orange:

Cool. I knew you would like it. I probably spent 15 mins or so just looking at it and the bike before I started. I did it by myself but an extra set of hands would have been nice! Still it was pretty easy.

I see people like this relocation kit for tour paks.  Could someone tell me how much it costs?

I'm not sure from your post, but I assume you're speaking about George's kit. IIRC, it is about $120. It is very nicely made and a very solid unit.

$125 was what I paid as I recall.

Some folks have made their own TP extenders & they work well.  George's has color coded bolts/nuts and easy to follow instructions.  Piece of cake - if you can turn a wrench, you can do it.

I ordered ony Friday......the price was $130 and included shipping. He is REALLY a great guy....very responsive.  Waiting to receive it and based on the other notes I'm expecting the installation to be relatively easy........will let you know.

George is incredible.....like I said....ordered on Friday...mailed the check Saturday...got the relo kit on Monday. Finally got around to installing it today. Excellent directions...took me about 30 minutes (but I'm old and slow).  My wife tried it on for size and she loves it.

Really pleased with this........
