After Dealing with my 2007 FLHTCUSE $36K piece of junk, I'll never buy a *New Harley* again. As far as Im concerned, the Best models are pre-2006 models, Beyond that,,,, JUNK !!!!!!

Just got the report back from service manager on my bike sitten in the shop again. The crank sensor disinigrated inside case casuing total disaster inside motor. They are terarin whole motor out and sending back to factory. My wait time  6-8 weeks.

And you can bet they won't add 2 months to the warranty for the little wait.

You need to check your state's Lemon Laws.  Most of them have a 30 day limit for warranty work or you get your money back for the whole bike.

That seems excessive, I thought I remembered reading somewhere the MOCO buil a bunch of standby motors for situations like this for a quick switch out? Regardless - most of us could build a bike in 6-8 weeks :(

Evil,

That sucks - I hope they at least gave you a loaner to ride during the wait.

BTW, the crank sensor has no moving parts, so they don't "disintegrate" on their own.  Sounds like the flywheel hit the sensor and destroyed it.  Another endorsement for the old Timken dual tapered roller bearing setup, eliminated by H-D in '03 as a cost cutting move.
