Well, so far I'm glad I bought an '06 CUSE.  I like my Autumn Haze better than anything that's come out since and the price just keeps going up.  I was afraid they would have a SERG this year and I would seriously consider trading.  If they do one next year, the price will be sooo high, I'll just keep 'ol Nazareth.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.....until I change my mind, of course. :huepfenlol2:

Clyde, I'm with you on the SERG or even a SESG.  All the mods I've done aren't feeling so painful with the pricing continuing to rise.

None of the colors pop out this year, and I am no fan of copper, either. I would like to see the orange springer, though.

No Thanks !!! I don't like the colors anyway compared to my 07 !!  :2vrolijk_21:

Agree 100%

I just passed on the first 2008 Anniversary CVO Ultra from one of my stores.  Not worth it in my opinion as I really love the black and orange!!

I think I may get a Rocker-C though!!!

Just spoke with the GM at my local dealership today who said the anniversary CVO Ultra is a "knock out" in person. I laughed at him and walked away.

From the pics I saw here on the board taken at the show I have to agree that the SEUC with the 105th paint scheme should be an absolute knock-out in person - sure looks sweet!!

I hear ya :D...

When you livelihood depends on selling new bikes, even the worst of colors is "knock out".

Not saying the 105th Anniversary combo is bad, not just to my liking.  The more I look at the 2008's, the more "in love" I am with my 2007.  Not just saying that, as I was fully prepared to buy another one if the color pallette and enhancements were enough to get me to move on.  I would really like the ABS, but I can do without it for another year or two.

I really like the Dyna Fat Bob and the Rocker C...to the point I think I will pull the trigger on the Pacific Blue Deluxe Rocker C when the hit in the fall.

Not being a previous owner of a CVO, I made the choice to wait this year for the '08 because of issues I've heard with the '07 110" motors etc.  I really like the '07 SERK but took a chance on the '08.

I have a new '08 coming in at Doc's Harley in St. Louis.  When I told my wife the color of the anniversary she about upchucked right in front of me.  Then I downloaded the SERK anniversary wallpaper and the bike begain to look better to both of us.

Yesterday we went to Doc's for a look see and to get copies of my paperwork etc.  They had the '08 Dyna Super Glide Custom in anniversary paint as well as a V-Rod.  Don't get me wrong, but to me they looked really good.  When you add the gold leaf in the CVO version of the color, I think we're going to be really happy.

I agree that everyone has likes and dislikes and I'm sure some will still think this is not the best choice MOCO has every made, but I do like it now.  I'm really between a rock and a hard place not having a previous CVO to keep instead of buying an '08.  So while I'm waiting for the new bike I'll have to keep riding my ole '76 FLH, which for what it is, is quite nice.

If there were other color options for the '08 SERK that whipped my wire, I probably wouldn't have done the anniversary.  But there will probably only be about a 1,000 or so of them and that's looking good to me as well.

Here in the St. Louis area most of the dealers are MSRP plus the freight, setup etc.

I still don't have an eta yet on mine, but hopefully by next weekend I'll know more.

I'm really getting an ear full on this site and that's not a bad thing.

Thanks.

Good luck on the scoot, Dan. I am sure you will love it. Any pic's of the '76?

Here's one with the windshield on.  The windshield is a Road King quick dismount and with just a bit of tweaking I got it to fit very nicely.

Here's one without the windshield.

If you click on this link, http://www.picturetrail.com/Dan_Lockwood you will see several of my photo albums from misc stuff, streetrod stuff, '55 Nomad gasser project and the '76 FLH project.

Not that this is an ad, it isn't, but both my '76 FLH and '55 Nomad gasser projects are for sale.

I'm really looking forward to the new '08 SERK.  The shovelhead is nice but with the new '08 we'll be able to travel more easily now without beating our bottoms to pieces.

Like I said in another post, the anniversary colors do look a lot better in person than on the website.

Thanks.

I have to say, that is an impressive transformation of the shovel, hope you get a penny for her. The Willys is the bomb, dude. Great albums.
