LA Harley In Downey, CA or Fullerton Harley in Fullerton, CA are both MSRP as well with prices marked out the door. They will definitely have a few. Cheers!

Ya think they will have the issues resolved for the extra money...?

Miker

I really doubt it, I know of three 07 SE's in the shop this week either having had or are waiting on parts to have their 110's rebuilt. From what I gather, they are all blowing gaskets at about 4K miles and getting the rear cyls. replaced.
So not only do I doubt the mods will be properly engineered in the 08's, I know they still have issues left from 07 that have not been corrected.
But that is HD, got to love um! ;D

If that was a requirement prior to a price hike, you'd still be able to buy a new Harley for a hundred bucks.

Called to check on the price of a 2008 Gold Wing 1800 (no motor issues) and they quoted me $21,499 for their most loaded bike (Pearl White, ABS,
AIR BAG, COLOR Nav, Heated seats and Grips).

Just checking prices of apples and oranges for comparison sake :apple: :orange:, but its still around $15,000 difference...

Wish I hadn't checked....

HD of Dothan is an MSRP dealer..............but.............Dutch isn't the most likable guy in the world.  I know that doesn't make a chit when you're there simply to purchase a scooter, but when you've lived there, it certainly sucks to have some miserable old fart grumble and complain because you take your business elsewhere when he can't perform the mods you need.  His thought process is the customer should return all of his business to his dealership and accept ONLY the mods he is capable of providing.

Whatever Dutch.  I'll buy a bike from you, but your service department SUCKS!

Hey!  Don't hold back!  Tell us what you really think about ol' Dutch!!

Really I'm just venting a little.

I'm a previous customer, yet because Harley is only giving them a few CVO Ultras, my dealer feels they may need to gouge me for $1500 to help pay for their new building. (not really the building, but because the market will allow it, and we are the market!!!)

Harley prices the bike at $35,000, but won't give me the option of a color map on my nav, or an air bag option, or reverse, and the new colors don't really light my fire.

Reports of heat related reliability issues continue to surface...

And all of this doesn't matter because I still want the '08, I just don't want to pay $1500 over + a setup (prep) fee on top of that.  It seems our brethren on the Gold Wings don't have to go through the part of ownership that includes too high of a price initially plus the overcharge plus freight or prep or whatever else...

Take a look at the BMW LT while you're at it, and get even sicker...

Mobile Bay HD in Alabama is a MSRP dealer (or was on mine and the 07's).  Talk to David Howell and tell him Terry in B'ham sent you.  I'll buy us both a beer at The Pink Pony with the 50 bucks he gives me.   :drink: :drink: :2vrolijk_21:

So you regret purchasing your 07 SEUC, and in hindsight wish you had purchased a GW?  So what's stopping you?  Go for it, Dude!  You'd make a great "Winger."  ;) ::)

Hey, just before taking my deposit to the stealer yesterday, I went and looked at the new CVO Gold Wing.
Quite fetching, don't you think?

Chattahoochee HD, in Columbus, GA, always at or below MSRP. Including my '07 SERK last July. I wish I were closer in order to take  advantage of their awesome customer service, parts, and sevice departments. Just not the same, here.

Yeah, I noticed Cape Fear left alot to be desired when I was up there last September.  Appleton's is the same way.  Wonder if they just KNOW they're gonna get the AAFES money for delivering Military Purchase Program bikes..........therefore they just don't give a chit.............or if they just plain ol' don't give a chit in military towns?  I've been to Chattahoochee HD, and it is a great dealership.  Can't explain that other than they're kinda off the beaten path from Ft. Benning........there's only one BCT there plus a few spooks, and it is mostly TRADOC and civilians, plus a CRC.......whereas Campbell and Bragg are straight up operationally oriented installations.  I dunno.  I will tell you this though.  Appleton's IS NOT an MSRP stealer.
