Hey s/eDave,  This Tour-Pak Wall Mount for Harley-Davidson Road King looks like just the right answer. At first when hd-dude asked what had others done, I was thinking that I don't ever want to take my tourpak off, it is so handy. But then, part of taking it off is having a clean, safe place to put it. If we had two of these mounted in the garage, we could both go topless and our tops would be safe.  I guess a towl to cover it will keep the dust down too so they will be clean and safe.  I only have one question, the one on the ebay site said "will not fit with the 2005 Two-Up Tour-Pak Rack."  Do we have that rack?

hd-dude, thanks for this question and s/eDave thanks for the answer. Agan, another wonderful example of how helpful this forum is. Thanks naitram.   :2vrolijk_21:

I believe that Patrick at eGlide Goodies (he supplied us our very first group purchase, also) is looking into making an aftermarket wall rack for the tour pack.

I have a rack (of sorts) currently hanging on my wall that I'd made to use for the various Road King tour paks in years past.  I noticed right off the bat that the detachable points on this 05 red bike's tour pak are much closer together.  The earlier racks used one detachable point from the rear and one from the front (one of the pair used for the detachable backrest that comes with these bikes).

So at least in comparison against my other racks from the Road Kings a bracket for them won't fit the 05.  Can't speak to the 04.  But the 05 won't fit.  If someone already has something they've used before, however, it's not a big deal to redrill the side brackets on your wall mount and bring the hanging points closer together.

While the search for the perfect rack can be a long and arduous process, I do believe that every step provides the motivation to continue searching for yet another day. A friend of mine has one that might work for some but does not fit mine, this according to my steadily searching wife.
