RG,

Picture a beefed up VROD with a full fairing, radio, cruise control, saddle bags, tour pack,etc.........

Or a Sportster CVO......

They haven't done the same bike twice yet because there was no need to and there still isn't. Since they still have some clean canvas left to play with.

Just my opinion, but we will all find out for sure in a month or two.........

I think Road_Glider is right on.  The CVO Glide was last produced 5 years ago, and the seeg will be top dog now.  HOCO won't let that last.

FATBOY-2, V-ROD-2 and who knows. I don't know if they will go out on the limb and do a sporty. The sportster is the least expensive of all of the H/D models. Would you pay 20 grand for a Sportster. I don't think that will fly. That is just my opinion. Stay safe.

Someone had mentioned a Springer.  That would surprise me about as much as any possibility.  The CVO platforms have also always been places from which to launch a bunch of new accessory parts (makes sense since the bikes are produced by the P&A branch).  But since the Springers are so much a beast of their own a lot of accessory stuff for them might not translate to the broader product line.  Thus hurteth the wider prospect of future sales.  That's something Harley doesn't do.

Fatboy,

You mentioned that they had not done the same bike twice and that there is no need to.

Well, they have done the Screamin Eagle Deuce in 2003 & 2004.  They did the FXDWG in 2001 & 2002 (I think those were the years), but I know they did it twice.  I also think they did the FXR twice.

Yeah "er" "Uh" Skull,

CVO history has been a consecutive 2 year run for each model produced to date and that's it. For each and every bike that has been introduced. (note fxr2,3 and 4 were 3  similiar units over a 2 year period).

They have not produced any model twice yet. Meaning: a third year of production for any model or redoing a model who's run has

Yo Fatboy you are correct but get ready 'cause the touring CVO bike for '06 will be the Road Glide.  It will have the new 120" motor and be one bad mamajama  [smiley=1syellow1.gif] [smiley=1syellow1.gif] [smiley=1syellow1.gif]:)
