Yo Fatboy you are correct but get ready 'cause the touring CVO bike for '06 will be the Road Glide.

I am hoping for the Road Glide myself...It would be the only bike I would give up my lectra Glide for. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Give a bike up [smiley=confused5.gif] When I put my order in for an 06 bagger I just figured it would be a Road Glide (one HD i've never owned) then someone says Ultra oh well it'll be a cool bike whatever it is and I can always say NO to the bike.

A bike that could be put in the CVO lineup for 06 would be the Softtail Deluxe.  Low already, beef up the power plant, do all the trick things they did on the Roadking, and bump up the price.  No one said the CVO series had to be able to tour.  Tho with the removable windshield this one could be used for mid-distance runs.  Plus it promotes their newest bike.
Just an idea.

Will probably get a call from my dealer after the sales meeting letting me know what it is and colors if he is able to give out that info before they unveil the model year in Sturgis.

More than likely I bet it will be an Ultra. One reason I think so is that they have already done SE Road Glides. Then the E-Glide, have never made an SE Ultra, yet. Will find out real quick from our dealer in July. He always keeps my husband informed.  [smiley=laugh.gif] Sandy

if we learned anythin in 05 it was that just when we think we know what will happen the MOCO surprises us with something different. we all guessed a second run of SEEG some guess FB others VROD but no one thought we would get both

If you look back it's been HD's tradition to do two years running of which ever models they have as SE bikes. The Road Glides were done for two years as well as the Road Kings. Now the E-Glide is finishing it's second year. So the Ultra is the only big tour bike that they haven't already done as a SE. The Fat Boy and V-Rod should get a second year.  Wasn't this the second year for the Deuce too? If so then the Deluxe, Heritage or Springer Classic might be next. They have also already done the FXR which was almost the same as a Low Rider and they have already done a Wide Glide, so maybe a SE1200C Sporty could be next. Who Knows????? I'll post a note here as soon as I find out anything. Our dealer is also a long time friend who usually keeps us pretty well informed on what's going on.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Sandy

Am I the only one who thinks that the Classic (FLHTCI) and the Ultra (FLHTCUI) are the same bike?  That "U" is a CB and a bigger pizza box guys.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

So here we have the basis for the 04-05 and 06-07 CVO?  I doubt it.  Seems silly to me.  Maybe there won't be a touring model.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  I'm still believing they're gonna start over with a 2006 FLTRSEI3  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Purely in the realm of speculation of course, but we can't completely discount the idea that it won't be any existing model.  There have been a couple of new model variants in the last year or two.  The new Softail and the new Road King variants.  Whose to say they won't release some ostensibly "hot" new model variant and try to support it with a CVO iteration at the same time?
