So much for fixing the engine issues, 10 mile lost all oil pressure.

Can anyone say AMF  :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:  Just kidding. I am sure there is some explanation that hopefully is simple and not a major mech. issue.
Good luck Mr. Magoo!!  Your bike is still a beauty

I was originally told that the SE Anniversary Ultra would be in by late July, but now I'm being told September.  I don't know if the dealer had his wires crossed or if the MOCO pushed it back.  I may be happy that it is pushed back to let the bugs get worked out (I hope).

I think someone else had that very same problem with his '07.  If I remember correctly, it turned out there was a loose fitting on the oil cooler or something like that.  Sorry to hear that it happened.

Ok, there's a silver lining here somewhere.

Let's see. If the solution is to get a new motor, you don't have to ride 500 miles to break another new motor.

Does that help?

OK, here's my theory --- every one of these 110" bikes that have had problems HAS BEEN ASSEMBLED BY THE SAME PERSON !
Everyone rip off your fuel tanks and see whos signature is there. Then we'll go down there and thump him up side the head till he (she?) agrees to do no more wrong!

Seriously, Magoo, I think you'll be back in the saddle shortly. Besides, that damn bike looks soo good it's got me wantin' one.

Amazing , let me guess?, they are using the same engines and painters as last year?. I guess we will just keep pumping them out as long as they keep buying them. Worry about it later. Hopefully it gets resolved for you.

I betz ya mr mago never hears the true story about his oil loss issue. Especially if they give him a new motor. My theory is, If they keep swapen out new motors to fix issues the service wrenches will never be able to 'leak' out what the issues are. You listen to most salesman at the dealerships and most will say, there is nothing out of the ordianay going on with the 07 and 08's, and claim eveyone on the internet is making up stories, you listen to the wrenches, and they will pretty much agree with you that somthing is wrong here.
If you have a problem bike and it's been back and forth to the dealership, keep a log of this, mark dates and problems. When it comes time they tell you they are installing a new motor and you dont want to deal with it,, demand a refund under the Lemon Law clause. Take your case to a Harley service rep, not the dealership. You may be surprised the MoCO will give in, and it makes me wonder if they (MoCo) prefers to keep these issue as quite as possible. I get the impression they dont want a public uproar that could leak out through the meadia regarding all these motor problems. It just seem they will do anything they can to keep it that way. This is the vibes i picked up from a recent issue i had with my 07 CVO. Any of you picking up any of the same vibes with your deralerships, and /or have you hear of anyone?

This certainly seems to be the case at my stearlership. Marketing people get this puzzled look and seem to be shocked, they would lead you to believe this is new to them but talk to the techs and get a very different story. One of the tech guys I somewhat trust indicated to me they were swamped and most disgusted about the rear cyl. problems with the 110's. WHY NOT ISSUE A RECALL? Even though they are making every effort to keep this under the rug, it is out and it is time for MoCo to "man-up".

Not the MoCo.  Never happens.  Never will (of their own volition).  Perception has a reality all its own.  In their mind they can control the perception (and in the broad strokes they actually can to a certain extent, less so with those more veteran to the process).  Once a poor "reality" has been admitted, however, it has been admitted forever.  At least that's the way that mind works.  No one EVER seems to learn the lessons of the Nixon administration.

We should probably start a poll of the guys here to compile the results for the MoCo to see that it is not 1s and 2s but bunches and bunches.  Options should be something like:

Which components have you had problems with in the 07s

1. Swapped gaskets
    a. once
    b. twice
    c. three or more

2. Swapped o-rings
    a. rear jug only
    b. both jugs
    c. more than once

3. Swapped engines
    a. once
    b. twice

Maybe we can get their attention if we compile that data for them so it kinda SMACKS them in the face.  There may be more problems but my brain doesn't work so good, so chime in as necessary.
