I'm not aware of any covers for the starters. :nixweiss: Most that wanted chrome have just replace them w/a chrome starter. You can get solenoid end, and starter end covers in chrome from the Moco.

Will those parts work on the '07 Ultras? (chrome end caps)

A parts guy at New Orleans H-D says they don't make 'em for '07s, but that dealer sux anyway.

Thanx for any info!

Stop worrying about a cover and get the chrome starter.  It looks like it belongs there anyway.

Can't say that quite so matter of factly.  After all, even The Dooderator doesn't have one.  That's scary too  ??? .

It's not that I don't want one it's just I'm hoping something will happen to stock one so I can get part of the replacement cost covered under warranty. :nixweiss: The starter is the only chrome addition that has a chance of some of the cost being covered.

I bit the bullet from the start and put mine on the site for sale.  That was one of the first times I talked to B B.  He bought it for his offered price so I at least reduced my acquisition cost.  They aren't cheap though, I do understand that.

I couldn't handle the big hole left when I added the true duals and it exposed the painted starter'd ankedness to the world.

If I had thought about it (interpreted to mean "if I had belonged to CVOHarley) I would have added it when I did the chrome inner primary to save me a few bucks on install, but since I didn't I just can't justify biting the bullet for the entire thing. I did add the chrome solenoid cap, and for the most part the starter doesn't bother me as much as it does some. :nixweiss:

Completely understand Gary.  It's not like you're adding chrome you can't even see or anything....  ::)

Nope, too tacky.  But there is always the "chrome paint" option, popularized by the folks at J.C. Whitney.

If you put the chrome solenoid cover, neutral switch cover, and tranny to cylinder base cover on, it really helps take your eye off the black starter.  The chrome Oil Filler spout helps too.

That's what I'm working on. :2vrolijk_21: Halfway there and one of the remaining two will be put on in a couple of weeks.
