Ruth's Chris Steak House
« on: July 22, 2007, 08:37:34 PM »

Renea and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary last week, but chose to wait until last night to do it up right.  I took her to Ruth's Chris Steak House in Huntsville.  It is located in the lobby of the Embassy Suites hotal in downtown Huntsville.  This is one of those kinds of places that you go to to celebrate big events:  anniversaries, birthdays, new job, promotion, successful conclusion of a project, graduation, etc.  It aint cheap, but it is well worth the price.  Here is a picture of our tab for last night, before tip.  Note we didn't have anything alcoholic, however we did peruse the wine list.  Most expensive was some $822, and the least was $25.  We're not real big wine people anyway.  Very good food, and alot of it.  Neither of us could finish, and barely had any room to nibble on the complimentary dessert they gave us for our anniversary.

You two have a lot more control than I do ... the dessert would have gone before a picture could have been made (especially chocolate).   ;D   I had a chocolate martini at dinner last night.  Yum!

Congratulations on 11 years. I am with Diva on the dessert, I always save room and there is always room for a to go box in the frig.
The bill looks like for one person at the one in Portland Oregon. Can you belive food is worth that much?

We managed to put a hurtin' on that chocolate thing, but there was some left over.  We had to take a walk before we headed home.  Even then we were too full to just sit.  We each had a steakhouse salad, with ranch dressing (HUGE), Renea had a ribeye, I had a filet, we split a 1lb baked potato and an order of mushrooms, and I just had to have the asparagus.  We're true southerners, so sweet tea with lemon was the drink of choice.  We ended up walking out with two "to go" bags each containing two boxes with leftovers.  We didn't take the leftover choclate thing.  That was good, but just a bit much..............rich..............OK, it was good at first then became unsettling.  We had plans to get up this morning, hop on the scooter, and go to breakfast.  Well, we got up, got on the scooter, and just rode.  Still full this morning.

Congrats, I couldn't have left the dessert.

However, I lost one pound on the Nelson ride.  Not bad after two nights of heavy drinking I figured.

Thanks altugo.  I guess it is a good thing I'm sitting down, because truthfully, I am quite the FATASS!  Renea, on the other hand is perfect.  She eats like a a 16 year old and never gains any weight.  Of course, her energy level is spiked too as her feet never touch the floor from the moment she gets up until the momment she lays down.

Speaking of that, we gotta do something with those to go boxes.....like eat what's in 'em today.  We've never been to a Ruth's Chris until last night, but I was prepared for the sticker shock before we went.  I must say that I had no problem paying that tab, as it was well worth every penny.  The whole experience was great.

Eveyone likes the dessert.   :2vrolijk_21:  We did too, just not that much.  Sugar rush!  Need to wash the foot prints off the ceiling this week.  We were up awhile Saturday night.....pinging because of that chocolate thing...........which was a good thing ;) ;) ;) ;) :bananarock: :bananarock:

Thanks Bro.  Holler when you're down Huntsville way, and I'll show you where it is.  We'll need another significant event to justify a return.

Thanks JR.  We had an awesome time, and money doesn't matter much when it comes to my bride.  She's worth it.  Besides, I'll make more next month.   :D  We've been very blessed thus far................we're hoping and praying for many more happy years. :2vrolijk_21:
