02 SE Road King engine specs?
« on: January 26, 2005, 08:08:43 PM »

Hello everyone,

New to the forum, first post nice website.  I'm going to pick up a 02 with 2,200 miles on it , that I bought tomorrow, my first Harley and would like to get some info on the motor.

I'm sure you've been asked this before, I was told that the 95 had a 203 cam, 9.2 to 1 comp. ratio, I would like to confirm this and see what SE heads are on the bike. If the ratio is correct I would like to step up to at least 10.5 to 1 and forged pistons, I assume the stockers are cast.

My goal is to get the engine around a 100 HP and still be reliable, could the stock heads be worked or would I be better to get ported CNCC heads and matched pistons?

I know good heads are critical for performance, but I have learned you have to get all the component combinations  to compliment each other.  Any info from someone thats gone down this road would be appreciated.

Thanks

John TN

Here are results from a similar bike to yours with what was done and a dyno sheet.

I'm thinking she has an 03 SERK (the Gold and Black one that came out first with the 103").

Thanks everyone for the info. Just got back home (12:44 am) with the bike from picking it up in Charlotte N.C. trailered of course. Got to get some sleep so I can ride it a little bit tomorrow,  before the sleet and rain starts.

I really like the bike very sharp, first Harley- Ye-Haw!!!!!!!!!!   [smiley=1syellow1.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=beerchug.gif]
