I worked for an insurance company that, for a while, managed the workers comp claims for a large mid-western city that has an airport named O'Hare.  One of the claims that caught our eyes was a comp claim submitted (AND PAID!) for an employee who reported a neck and back injury from sleeping at his desk!! Groan.

Not to play devil's advocate, but I've seen some taskings that basically had guys (and gals) living out of their offices for a stretch.  If someone is is crashing at work because they don't have time to go home......

During my assignment as a production control officer, I kept a cot next to my desk.  At the time I lived 36 miles from work.  Leaving work at 11pm put me home just before midnight only to have to be back by 6am.  Sometimes it was easier just to crash in the hangar, no pun intended, than go all the way home for what would amount to as nothing more than a nap.

There were plenty of times early in my military career when I was almost fed up with 18+ hour days. But that all ended with the deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Those looooooooooong days changed me, I no longer care how long the day at work will be, cause it allows me to spend time with the wife, see joy on my children's face, and make a few choices now and then. God bless, America!!!
