Neosho Cargo Trailer
« on: July 28, 2007, 10:08:34 AM »

I picked up the body to the trailer Tuesday night and Scooterhair and I (mostly Scooter) started re-assembling. Scooter finished the lights and wiring yesterday. There are some inperfections in the paint and she needs a little more wet sanding and buffing, but thats going to wait till we get back from Sturgis. Six days to go, I getting excited! :orange: :mango: :bananarock: :apple: :jalapeno: :cucumber: :pineapple: :pepper:

Alittle bit closer. I added the cooler mount and cooler and you can't see it very well, but the spare tire is mounted to the bottom of the frame. I thought the eagles heads on the side turned out really nice.

We had a piece of stainless cut and bent for the rear bumper and then polished and replaced all of the lights with the flush mount lights. I had a guy that works for a sign and graphics business make me a new license plate. Missouri doesn't have different plates for motorcycle trailers and regular trailers, so I had him take a picture of the full size plate and the reduce it and print it on a decal which he put over an old plate. I am keeping the state issued plate in the trailer in case some "Barney Fife" decides to give me a hard time about my homemade plate.

I painted the inside flat black with a rattle can. The trailer has 19 cubic feet of storage. I think it will be pretty east to make some type of garmet bag hanger in the lid, but again, that can wait till after Sturgis, after all, I won't be taking any suits or wingtips with me on this trip ;D

It has a 360 degere swivel hitch and the trailer really pulls very well, the only time you feel the trailer is turning into a driveway or over a speed bump, you know, the low speed stuff. Notice the spring loaded retractable tounge jack.

That's nice Cary.  Who painted it?

His name is Rick Brooks. He is owner-sole employee of KC Colors out of Nixa MO. He works out of his van and services several of the car dealers in the area doing touch-up paint, airbrushing and plastic bumper repairs. It's amazing to see what he can do with a car that is all dinged and scratched up.

Cary,  From the looks of these pictures, your Neosho turned out very nice.  That looks awesome.  Better than Scooter's trailer.  Congratulations, Brother.  And the license plate job turned out great as well.  Looks like you'll be able to pack a huge load to tote to Sturgis.  I know you guys are gonna have a blast.  Wish we could go with you, but we will see you in Hot Springs.

Trailer came out great.  Geez, I've seen RVs with less storage space!  Enjoy.
