Hey Guy, Thanks for your input & comments....
I was at my local Harley dealership yestersday taking to the Parts guy....He Stated...There is no info yet on hard bag for the 2008 SCRD 105th...
The SCRD comes only with Leather Saddle Bags...He recommended the Full Size (Not Chopped) Leather Tour Pack to match the side bags....Its the same tour pack for 2007 SCRK in the book...
Then he stated that the Factory will NOT paint the extra set of metal bags in the 105th copper/black color anyway...
Kinda sucks, after making such a big investment in this bike....Can anyone recommend someone who does color matching of the anniversary color in the northeast?
Thanks...
Copper/Black Cvo, where are you located?
I too have a deposit on a new SERK Anniverary edition. Mine is scheduled for November sometime. My dealer doesn't know more than that at this point.
I bought the new '08 Reptile print Tour-Pak to match the seat and tops of the bags. I had to buy two kits to go with it, a mount kit for the pak itself and then a docking station that goes through the rear bag to fender covers, through those little rubber plugs everyone was talking about in another thread.
I also purchase V&H Dresser Duals and their Oval slip-on mufflers. I've heard them and I like the sound and looks. I know that they are on many of the touring bikes and may not be as exclusive as some of the other styles, but I still like them. I was told by Power Commander that they won't have the new PCIII out for about 6 weeks or so. My dealer uses this controller more than any others so I guess I'll go with it as I want my dyno guy to be familiar with what he's using.
Have you been told how many of the SERK 105th bikes are going to be made? I blew up a picture on the Internet of a SEUC 105th and it was 1 of 1800 on the badge so this was the first one made for reviews and advertising etc.
Congrats on the new bike. I'm excited to see the actual color of the SE versions as I've been told they are quite a bit different from the standard edition 105th on non-SE bikes this year.
Thanks and let me know your general location.
