[Copper/Black Cvo]

I am new to your site and placed a order for an 2008 CVO Road king (Delivery in Mid-Sept). 

My question is...Is it worth ordering an extra set of metal/tin saddle bags and a tour pack from the factory at this time so the paint will match exactly?

Its an added expense that I don't care to absorb at this time...My friend stated that the color (Copper/Black 105th Anniversary) will be hard to match later.

depends,,  which cvo did you order.   the serk(screamin eagle Road King) comes with leather bags (hard bags not available)  and tourpak is leather and can be purchased anytime.

it would be nice if they offered painted hard bags as an accessorie

Is the SERK like the SEUC in that one of the CVO colors is the 105th copper color?  If so he might have options that none of the rest of the colors have.  Since there are copper 105th colored bikes that aren't CVO paint to match parts could be an option that doesn't exist for any other color scheme.

it isnt the same paint scheme....  the CVO bikes have the stripe like ours..the anniv RK doesnt..in fact the copper even looks different

I just downloaded the SEUC 105th wallpaper and it has the same paint scheme as the SERK 105th, just with painted gold leaf hard bags instead of leather hard bags.

I see no issue ordering the hard painted bags from a SEUC 105th and putting them on the SERK 105th.  It would really ad some color to the bike.

I've already ordered the reptile tour-pac for my new SERK 105th.  My bike isn't scheduled until November.  I'm not sure how hard bags would look with the leather tour-pac.

Didn't a SEEG have hard bags with leather tour-pac one year?

Back to the SEUC 105th bags, you may have to own a SEUC 105th to be able to order them.  Unless your dealer can order a second set for somebody elses SEUC 105th.

Nope they didn't. In '04 they came w/o a chopped tourpak, and in '05 they came w/chopped tourpak (both of those configurations are from the factory).

Dan,

As Fired00d mentioned, the SEEG's did not come with the leather Tour-Pak (thank goodness  ).  You are thinking of the '06/'07 CUSE.

The issue with ordering hard bags from a restricted VIN bike like the 105th CUSE will be twofold.  First you have to find a dealer who will knowingly order them for you using someone else's' VIN, and unless something has changed recently I believe the MoCo will want the original hard bags returned when you get the replacements.  So I wouldn't get my hopes up.  Of course, if you were to buy one of each (CUSE and SERK), you could throw the hard bags on whichever bike you plan to ride on a given day.

Hey Guy,  Thanks for your input & comments....

I was at my local Harley dealership yestersday taking to the Parts guy....He Stated...There is no info yet on hard bag for the 2008 SCRD 105th...

The SCRD comes only with Leather Saddle Bags...He recommended the Full Size (Not Chopped) Leather Tour Pack to match the side bags....Its the same tour pack for 2007 SCRK in the book...

Then he stated that the Factory will NOT paint the extra set of metal bags in the 105th copper/black color anyway...

Kinda sucks, after making such a big investment in this bike....Can anyone recommend someone who does color matching of the anniversary color in the northeast?
