Saddlebag Locks
« on: August 01, 2007, 10:14:20 AM »

Does HD make saddlebag locks for our SERK bags?  I know they make a lock kit for the TourPac, but haven't seen anything else.

After reading several forums lately, I want to make sure I don't lose my bags due to those cheesy quick release pins.

yes they do. don't know the part number,, but go to your dealer, because they can be ordered to match your bike key.

You can have your dealer order saddle bag locks for the SERK3 saddle bags. The locks come with the same key number as you regular ignition key. The locks are not cheap, and the installation is rather expensive, since the entire opening mechanism of the saddlebags is relocated (towards the back of the bag).

Ride safely!

Thanks to the great people on this site, there is a solution.
There are no locks for the SERK, but the pictures show the locks for a Road King Custom that are ordered in your key number for $60-70.
The secret is to mount them towards the front of the bike, using the existing holes for the button.  There is less work to do than the actual installation on a RKCustom.  Took less than an hour.  There is a little gap left, bur clear silicone will take care of it.
