auto compression releases

Who makes auto compression releases that will fit the 88" motors. Thought that S & S made them but can't find it in any catalog.

As far as I know, no-one make them that will fit in the 88" heads. The S&S units poke up through the rocker boxes. Maybe the ones on the 110's would fit, but they are controlled by the ECM, not the starter relay. I don't know if that could be retrofitted to the starter relay.

Brian,

My S&S ACR's are tied to the starter.  When I hit the starter button it fires the auto releases.   I would guess you could have the heads drilled like the pictures I showed of the 110 heads and then have them tied to the starter through the harness.  Its a green wire with a tiny yellow stripe on the 02's / 03's.

I can show you next time your down to look at crash if you like.

The H-D acr are electric ,as said before and they dump out in the exhaust ports ,very close to where your ex. gaskets are. The opening for the release is in the flat {squish} area of the heads.

Here's something with the S&S part numbers Brian.

Don, one of the lines said that they will not fit stock Harley heads. Not enough material there.

Oh well maybe next time for me. I hate hitting those buttons.

So the S&S releases are only for the S&S heads?  Bummer.  Maybe you just really wanted to push buttons but it's one of those deep subliminal subconscious things you never really know about yourself until you've had seven beers  :nixweiss: .
