That is really funny.....  I went to Mustang first, stood around for twenty minutes with no help and then they literally closed the booth while I was standing there waiting.  I felt the same way you did at Corbin.  I went by the Corbin booth twice, once on foot and once with my bike.  They were very helpful both times.  The guy called the factory and was told 2 weeks.  He told me to give them three.

I like the way the Corbin seat attaches better than the Mustang I looked at while I was standing there waiting for help.

One thing is that they both looked like they were selling a LOT of seats.

Yes, both shops were definatly busy.  I could have excused the Corbin incident as just being busy, except two guys were just standing there starring at me while I stood next to their demo seats starring back at them.  I guess it all depends on catching the right guy at the right time.  Your Corbin guy cared enough to call someone, mine didn't even care enough to move.  I had to walk over to him just so that he could hear me.

I am looking for a comfortable two seater...The threats mentioned 3 brands of seats 1. Sundowner 2. Mustang 3. Corbin

I want to only buy one seat and keep it forever...

You can also look at C&C or one of several other "custom" seat makers.  If you want a heated seat I would go with Corbin, if you want something you can use your stock backrests with, I would recommend the Mustang seat.  JMHO.

I don't have an RK, but an 06 SEUC.  LOVE my Corbin with heat.  The heat is fantastic in cold weather...it can make the difference in a cold, miserable ride, or a nice, toasty buns, ride.  Heated grips (non HD brand) make it even nicer... :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

TC, Do you feel wires in the seat for the heating element or is the wire heating element totally undetectable?  I ordered a cobin w/ heat and never actually checked a heated seat to see if you can notice the wires.  Thanks Rich

No, you cannot feel the wiring at all.  There is an additional very thin layer of foam on top of the heating elements.  Give the Corbin 500 to 1000 miles to get broken in and you will be a happy camper.  Your a$$ with thank you many times for this... ;D
