WOW, Incredibly Nice Road King! I think it is difficult selling a bike as nice as yours because the field of buyers is significantly smaller than those looking stock bike. Unfortunately, I think it is going to be a tough sell unless you are willing to take an unreasonably low offer. I have seen quite a few show bikes for sale on craigslist and they keep getting re-listed for months on end, even when the owners are asking much, much less than the bike is worth. Good Luck, I hope that you are able to sell it for a price that you are reasonably happy with.

That's a great looking bike, but it seems that one person's concept of what a "custom" bike's value should be doesn't always match up with a willing buyer.  You're going to have to try to get it out in front of as many people as possible and hope it hits the hot button for someone.  I've had some luck with eBay, but still never really got what I thought the bike was worth.

That is a beautiful bike and I'm sure you have alot of money invested in it. But to sell it for that price you limit your buying field to very few people. You will have to find that right person that likes the bike setup just the way it is to even come close to getting your full asking price. I have had cars and trucks that have been tricked out with aftermarket parts and alot of money invested into them but when it came to selling them they did not bring anymore than blue book value. Granted it's a Harley and you should be able to get over blue book but your buyer base is going to be smaller than if it were a stock bike.

Well you asked the question. IMHO given the state of the Harley used market and the fact the bike is built just the way "YOU" like it. I would say if someone offered you half of what your asking you should jump on it.

well start offering
Why not just let us know what you really want for it?  I mean, what is your bottom line?  It's obviously much less than what you are asking, and it just might entice an interested buyer? :nixweiss:Sorry, I've never had much use for all of the usual "haggling" over motorcycle and car prices.  I think that buying a bike should be like buying a head of lettuce.  Put the real price on it, and if someone wants it they buy it...done deal.

Oh, and it is a very nice bike...I just think that your expectations of the selling price are high.

A scoot that damn sweet...just ride it! It's yours, you built it just how you wanted. Just enjoy it brother. For what you have invested and the market very limited, turn it into your super bad a$$ touring machine.  :2vrolijk_21:  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:
