Those pictures are the exact reason I didn't pay attention to Killboy when I went by him. Had this thought in the back of my mind that would be all I need my stupidity and not paying attention to what I was doing being captured on film so it could be shown from now to eternity. :nervous:

No chance d00d with that great form in your sequence shots!  That darn Killboy has caught a bunch of people looking though.  Dragon's just not a place to let your eyes wander too much!

I'll have to admit it was tempting for a second or two when I came around the corner and saw his car w/Killboy.com wrote all over the side. Then decided it would be a better picture of concentrating on my form and went that route. :2vrolijk_21:

Yeah, but some dust and sparks woulda been really cool too.  Without the subsequent dismount of course. ;D

Those are great Ernie, anyone know if 2Ln has a secret development program underway with his niece?

Too funny.  Coincidentally she's here with me today (small nap right now).  Later we're going to the Powersports Honda shop about a half hour from here so she can play on the baby ATVs and scooters.

And the folks at True-Trak want you to think that this happened because the rider didn't have their unit installed. Or, better yet, by installing their product, this wouldn't have happened to begin with.

BS!!!

:indian_chief:

The sparks and fire underneath the machine indicate substantial “hard” contact of the footboard mounts and frame with the asphalt. The front wheel is coming off the ground and almost locked up; look at the spokes as well as the visible tread pattern, then check the other pictures.

The true track may very well have changed the dynamics of this crash; The crossmember mounted anchor would have made hard contact with the asphalt before the footboard mounts and raised the rear wheel off the ground instead of the front.

So, in this case, digging the hard point into the asphalt would help rotate the bike into the corner more effectively as it dug into the asphalt, increasing the rate of turn and preventing the bike from drifting to the outside and crossing the double yellow line, which is illegal and can result in a ticket.

Do they have an offering to improve left cornering as well?

:indian_chief:

I haven’t heard of any added value there but I have seen how True-Track doubles as a mechanical bank angle sensor for the right. The area of the frame back by the transmission is usually the last thing to scrape just before your shoulder does; kind of like the guy in the True Track advertisement below. The large TT anchor bracket will drag before the foot board with your suspension compressed in a tight right hander; kind of like the guy in the True Track advertisement below. I have a photo somewhere illustrating the point; if I find it I’ll post it.

It looks like the handlebars have flopped to the right in the picture below; there is no weight at all on that front end. Great shot; I hope the rider didn’t scrape off too much bark; doesn’t look like he’s very well prepared.

The dismount shot gives you a better perspective on the engine guard.
