Unbalanced, oil leakage 110ci
« on: August 16, 2007, 03:16:41 PM »

Unbalanced.
In one of your posts about oil leakkage on 110ci, you wrote that you heard that the problems are not caused by the cylinders or the heads but by the crankcase.
Can you tell something more??

I've seen 3x 110ci opened up due to too much oil use:
One with valve quide falling out one of the heads
One leaking headgasket
One Leaking cylinder base gasket

Initially it was being rumored and still unproven that the the cylinders were not sitting flush and moving and when they moved they were the cause of the oil leaks through the movement and unseating.

That is just one of the thoughts on this.

Others are expansion issues with head cylinder, Gaskets failing, and over expansion including the cylinder studs causing movement, which in turns causes the gasket between the head / jugg to create an opening where oil can pass by and get down into the stud holes and out the bottom ofthe cylinders.
