I never thought much about my gas gage. It worked fine. It came with a red LCD Flush Mount Gas Gage. The Speedo/Tach also had red backlighting. So I never thought about it one way or another.I recently replaced my Speedo/Tach with the black-faced programmable color one. I run the blue backlight on it, and it goes nicely with the blue pinstriping. But I thought it would be nice if they had a blue LCD Gas Gage. After all, there's no red on the bike. And the blue does go with all the pinstriping. Still never thought much more about it. Until I rode Rich 07's bike the other day. His B/I SERK came with a blue Gas Gage!!! Then it made a little sense to me. Blue for the Blue SERK. Red for the Red SERK. But what do you put on the Black SERK. Red to match the Speedo backlighting? Or Blue to match the Pinstriping? Well, I feel it should be blue to match the pinstriping, and that they had installed the wrong one on my bike. This must be the case since Rich's bike came with the blue one, right? Well that logic was good enough for my SM who's swapping it out for me.

I thought some of you might find this interesting. But look what you guys got me doing with that OCD stuff of yours! Changing the color of a gas gage!

I would have never thought about that before I joined this place. Holy crap, OCD is actually contagious!

I have an appointment in 2 weeks to get that done, along with the PM Calipers, Hi-perf. motor mount and stabilizer links, Sta-bos, neck bearings, and 12.5" W1's Handlebars! And that should do it for Cybil for a while! The hard bags should be here by then too. That's cutting it close, but it's still 3 days before my self-imposed deadline of the end of August!
Hoist!
