Need Your Suggestions...

What would u add to a 2008 CVO RKSE ?  Need your expertise...and would like to start ordering some parts now before bike arrives...
Been reading threw the old threats and notice these were the most change out parts...

1. Pipes...IE V/H true dual oval 4" mufflers
2. Full Blown PC III USB ???  Don't know what it really does,  :nixweiss: thinking it adds to the bike performance band...
3. K&N A/C ??? Helps the bike breath better and maybe run better....What's your take on adding one...
4. Leather Tour Pack with mounting hardward...
5. Corbin Heated seat vs. Sundowner vs.  Mustang
6. Highway Pegs...absolute necessary

Websites, vendors or locations where to buy these extra would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:...This is a Great Website... :bananarock:

P.S. How does one cut down on the heat the bike produces when standing still at a red light ??? :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

I believe that the seat design is totally new because of the new tank.  The tab is now on the bike.  It will be a while before aftermarket seats are available.

Sert, 2-1 ex, a good tune, rear shocks and hard bags for security and capacity of you need that like I did ...
Your butt will decide if a new seat is needed or not.  Believe it or not changing the shocks made my seat better.
I still ordered the solo corbin though.  It took them 7 months to get a seat out for 07 serk.
Good luck with the scoot, enjoy in good health.

The first thing I installed on mine was the RUN, BRAKE, TURN SIGNAL MODULE KIT, part #69462-06A. This kit includes the electronics module/harness plugs, two red lenses and some cable ties. The kit retails for about $55 and is very easy to install. It adds brake light and running light functionality to the rear turn signals.

So true. But HD is not the only manufacturer that offers improved rear lights as an "option." I purchased and installed a BMW external high visibilty brake light kit on my GT soon after purchase because of the small tail/brake light on it.

I've already noticed a difference in how far back most vehicles now stop behind my SERK with the additional brake light indication. I'm also installing two small HyperLite 8-LED modules inside the stock tombstone tail light. Once that's completed I'll begin on the performance and appearance additions.

Great WEB SITE!!

Thanks for all your input. I'm making a list and checking it twice. My Blue SERK is due in January 2008.

Get the led oil dipstick, so you can keep tabs how hot you running.

I added the flush mount gas cap and fuel guage, it should have come from the factory with these on. It looks so much better.

Added light bar as well.

I also replaced the stock windshield with the shorty RK windshield. The stock windshield looks great but too much wind buffeting going on.

I installed the Fork Lock Cover 71790-05
and the run, turn, brake light thing.
Tried to installed the headbolt covers but they don't fit our bikes.
Ordered new vivid black hard bags with key matching locks and now I need to find a painter and figure out how to do the artwork.
Also just recently installed the Kisan dual headlight modulator. I was kinda the guinea pig (not by choice) for this headlight but after several weeks they got it right and both bulbs modulate on hi-beam.
That's all for now. I hate to mess around with the pipes because I like the way this bike runs right now and I don't want to chance a bad tune.
I do think the seat becomes more comfortable with time and the mufflers seem to get louder with time also.
I really like this bike alot. It is a great open road bike.
Harley got it right in '08.
