Thanks for ending the tease Henry! ::) 100 ft-lbs at 1800 RPM. And climbs from there in the normal operating range. And your peak TQ is right where you want it! You must be thrilled Henry! You have all the HP you need in that range to keep you pulling nice. It's no drag racing motor, but we know you were never looking for that. Enjoy it Henry and good luck with it! Great job Dennis!!! :2vrolijk_21:

Hoist! 8)

Well, yeah Howie, I am!!!!!  I'm not a racer, but I do enjoy the feel of torque.  I've VERY pleased.  There's a few things I need to take care of, which are unrelated to the engine build, but they'll wait til a cold spell sets in.

Henry,
That's sweeeeeeeeet!!! If you're not already going to gym you better start you will need some strong arms to hold on to that stump pulling torque. ;D

:ROFLOL:  I'm getting plenty 'nuff workout just hangin' on.  Took SEVERAL breaks from the books today, and ended up with a little over 100 miles for the day.  I'm quite happy with Thumper.  If I ever need to move my house, I have a prime mover!   ;D

OK, I can't stand it anymore.  Here's the real deal...............no bullchit this time.  Folks..........I GOT TORQUE.  And everyone knows I LOVE torque....so I got it, and Thumper really lets me know it every time I get on her.  Yesterday after Dennis finished, I rode her, and it feels like the rear wheel is trying to outrun the front.  So, Yes, I'm happy!  So, here are the real numbers from the final run:

84.3 HP

122.76 TQ

I have a paper chart showing the last three runs with an A/F scale.  I'll scan it to .pdf and post it tomorrow, so you can see the consistency between the last three runs.

I believe that the look on someones face is all the dyno sheet that is needed.

Henry's face showed everything in MV :2vrolijk_21:

Henry,I didn't get to see the numbers or the video till I got to work this morning, it sure does wind up pretty fast. I'll bet it is a blast to ride. I don't think I want to test ride a moter like yours, it could cost me a lot of money, if you know what I mean!  ;D  I'm glad it all went well this weekend.

BTW, all pulls were 5th gear, starting at 1800-2000 rpm,  had to watch the rollon speed or it would smoke the roller. you could smell the tire if you hit the throttle too quick.

You may want to check your pinion run out after your dyno tune.

Henry, just got caught up on your thread.  That's a great read.  So happy you're so happy with the outcome.  Sounds like an absolute blast to ride.  Enjoy it pal.  You put in the patience and the cash to get there.  Gotta love it when a plan comes together.

OK........as of this afternoon, I have 3000 miles on the new build.  Did a little over 200 miles of cruising this morning down US 231 to AL 79 to B'ham then back up to Huntsville via I-65.  Did two fuel economy checks.  On the way down, the trip was 135.2 miles.  Took on 4.544 gallons of fuel for a burn rate of 29.75 mpg.  On the way back up, the trip was 102.5 miles.  Took on 3.534 gallons of fuel for a burn rate of 29 mpg.  On the federal and state highways, I was probably averaging 75 mph.  Not too twisty or hilly, but I was playing.  On the interstate, I was probably averaging 85 mph, but never busted 100 mph.  While jackin' around on the twisties of North Georgia and North Carolina last weekend, I was averaging around 30 mpg.  You'll note by my signature that Thumper has been "retuned."  Dennis did it right before we went to CHL.  Thumper is very quick.........for me, she's scary fast!  Way more torque and power than I need, and I haven't fully tapped it all.  Sure is nice, and one heck of alot of fun.

Gotta go wash her.
