Last picture.  I shot some video of several dyno runs.  Once I figure out a Photobucket account, I'll post a link here

OK, I can't stand it anymore.  Here's the real deal...............no bullchit this time.  Folks..........I GOT TORQUE.  And everyone knows I LOVE torque....so I got it, and Thumper really lets me know it every time I get on her.  Yesterday after Dennis finished, I rode her, and it feels like the rear wheel is trying to outrun the front.  So, Yes, I'm happy!  So, here are the real numbers from the final run:

84.3 HP

122.76 TQ

I have a paper chart showing the last three runs with an A/F scale.  I'll scan it to .pdf and post it tomorrow, so you can see the consistency between the last three runs.

Thanks for ending the tease Henry! ::) 100 ft-lbs at 1800 RPM. And climbs from there in the normal operating range. And your peak TQ is right where you want it! You must be thrilled Henry! You have all the HP you need in that range to keep you pulling nice. It's no drag racing motor, but we know you were never looking for that. Enjoy it Henry and good luck with it! Great job Dennis!!! :2vrolijk_21:

That's sweeeeeeeeet!!! If you're not already going to gym you better start you will need some strong arms to hold on to that stump pulling torque. ;D

Chunngle wanted to see the "Chromite" line, which replaced the ugly black line seen before.  It's actually a Goodridge line.  I like it much better, BUT I need to get a beather filter with a 3/8" OD nipple, cut the other end of the hose to length and mount the filter.

Henry,
Thanks for taking the time to post the pic. I think thats the route I am going to go also. I was curious as to whether the oil return line cover would still fit if the hose were mounted the way you previously had it but it would not. That is a much cleaner look. Do you notice any kind of blow-by out the vent or through the air cleaner? I still have to wait until mid week before my baby is back on the road. All together minus the cam cover and exhaust. The new style cover that fits with the D&D fatcat is just out of production so it did not ship with everything else. This is worse than waiting for Christmas morning as a kid. Torque is a great thing isn't it? It's nice to just roll on the throttle while everyone else is having to downshift to climb that hill or make that pass on the highway. Congrats on your new build. Many happy s-miles.  :orange:

Nope!   No blow-by....yet, Rick, and for the way I normally ride, I've been in it pretty hard yesterday and today.  I'm done for today, since I really need to hit the books.  Waiting sucks, Dude!  I waited for almost two months to do what I did yesterday and today.  Took Renea out for breakfast this morning.  She's smilin'.  Really likes the way Thumper moves.  Now I know what the rider backrest is for!!!!  So, now that I know I have it...............it's back to putting around as usual.
Once I figure out the type of breather filter I want, get the hose trimmed and the filter mounted, I'll take another picture and post it.  Although it does look alot better, I'm concerned about the hose rubbing against the powercoated engine, tranny and frame.  I'll get it right.

Hey Henry,

You can get clear coated braided line.

Or you can put clear silicone on the back side of the rub spots.

Or put clear hose over your line in the rub spots and zip tie it down.

Howdy Scooter,
Got it.  There are several courses of action included those you've indicated.  Bottom line, it'll have to wait until next weekend at the earliest, but definitely before N. Georgia.  I have a full plate until then.  Thumper won't get ridden again until next weekend at the earliest anyway.

Me too, Gary, 'cept I'm reading about international contracts, and terms of trade or incoterms.  That type reading requires BEER, and LOTS of it.   ;D
