did i mention the rush mufflers sound wwwwwwaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy better than rineharts? not obnoxious at all. damned near killed thumper too-------was twisting throttle around 70 mph, rounding curve and a turf forklift was sitting in the road. told em(*&^%@#$% and @#$%Z)_(((((* but they didnt care.

   That woulda sucked alot!!!!  I'm REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY happy you and Thumper made it through OK.

As for the Rush mufflers, I knew they were gonna be nice.  I'm not, nor have I ever been, a Rinehart fan.  I know alot of folks here run them and love 'em alot, and I certainly do respect that, but those pipes aren't for me.  I think the Rush mufflers with the Vance & Hines Dresser Duals are gonna work just fine for my riding style.

Well, this is it!!!!!!!!!!!  Dennis is bringing Thumper home tomorrow.  Should be here around 10 AM CST.  Don't think I'm gonna sleep tonight.  I'm so excited that I can't focus on anything else, so nervous that I have no appetite, and so apprehensive about having to learn how to ride the green bike all over again.  I'll let you guys know as soon as Thumper is home.  Can't wait to see her.

Trying D00d.  Took some of those Tylenol PM Rapid Release Gelcaps they were handing out at Talladega yesterday.  Nuthin'...........yet.  It'll be great to have that scooter back home.  Hopefully I can hang on.

OH MY GOD!!!!!

Thumper is UNBELIEVABLE!!!  Dennis dropped her off with me where I work shortly after 10am CST.  Needless to say, I opted to skip lunch and go hungry in favor of spending my lunch hour riding.  WOW!  AWESOME!!  Can't really put it all into words just yet.  I know I'm gonna be completely worthless as a professional for the rest of the day, so it looks like I'm gonna have to fake it.  Those compression releases startled me the first time.......then I figured out how kewl they sound when starting the engine.  Acceleration is effortless, and the smallest twist of the throttle feels like I'm in a G force machine.  Absolutely incredible.  Wicked FAST.  Very crisp.  Not too loud, but louder than before the build and definitely nowhere near quiet.......yet nowhere near obnoxious.
Guys, I feel really great about this build, and I am confident it is solid.  The engine is so smooth.  I've never been on a bike this torquey and powerful.  I'm certain there are quicker machines.......no doubt in my mind.......but this build is WAY, WAY, WAY more than I expected.
Renea and I will be in Maggie Valley on Thursday early afternoon.  I'll post pictures of Thumper's homecoming when I get home this evening.  BTW, today is Stephanie's (HarleyBoxer) birthday, so Renea and I will be treating her to supper on the town tonight.  Might be late when I post Thumper pix.

Henry...sorry I missed your VM, but had stepped out of the office a few minutes.  Really, really, really glad to hear that the bike is everything you expected and so much more.  It's also good to hear of a build that has gone well for a member here, especially since everyone seems to be having so many problems of late.  Good to hear a positive outcome.  Congratulations Thumper, Henry, and Dennis....will be anxiously awaiting the final tune after Henry returns from MV and get the final impressions when it's 100% dialed in.

Henry...can you shift fast enough to get it out of first and second before it hits the rev limiter?
