08 FXSTSSE Late

I was just informed that my Orange Springer will ship around Sept 14th instead of Aug 24th. Anyone else having shipping problems on new bikes?

Scott, I have been informed by several dealers that the Inferno Orange color is not in production yet. I am surprised that your dealer is telling you that they have a ship date set as early as September - I think they are bs'n you.

The earliest ship date I have head of for the Inferno Orange color SE Springer is 2nd quarter and that date is just an estimate since the dealers are not able to order the Inferno Orange color yet and the dealers don't even know when it will be made available - it is not even in their system as a color option to order at this time.

I had one pushy salesperson who wanted me to give him a down payment say that they were getting one next month and after I asked him "are you sure that it is the Inferno Orange color" for the 4th time, he checked with the sales manager and the one they are getting is a anniversary color (that's orange isn't it?). The fact is that he just wanted to pressure me to give him a deposit and didn't care about anything other than making a sale...or having a deposit for a future sale. That salesperson irritated me a bunch. His sales manager called me back a 1/2 hour later and told me they were getting the Black Diamond color in September and not the anniversary color and he didn't know when they would get the Inferno Orange color.

I already have a deposit at a large dealership with a reputable salesperson that I have dealt with before so I am not in a hurry to put another deposit down with another dealership unless I think I have a better chance of that dealership coming through on the Inferno Orange color.

I was also told by 3 smaller dealerships that they were allocated 1 CVO Springer for the first quarter and Zero for the second quarter. In addition, the MOCO did not let them choose the color - they were assigned a color. That is the reason that I am checking with several dealerships and not just relying on 1 dealership to come through on the Inferno Orange color...nuff said, end of rant. I hope your dealer comes through for you.

I have aBlack on order scheduled to arrive in December. The dealer says an orange is being shipped in October.

I just got a call from ST. Paul Harley Davidson with my VIN!! Bike is built and being loaded on a truck! Thanks for your responses, I wish the rest of you with CVO's on order as good luck as I have had.

With all of the stories going around sounds like the MoCo is getting better with its smoke and mirrors.  I wonder if all of the mis-info comes directly from the MoCo or are the dealers trying to muck everything up just to drum up business?!!!!!!!!!!!!! :confused5:

I did the york plant tour on Friday morning, I saw an inferno Orange SE Springer in the plant with a bunch of other bikes that were just built, even though the CVO bikes are built in a different building they still have to bring them into the "touring" plant to test them on the dyno. :2vrolijk_21:

MY BIKE IS IN AND ON THE RACK...
My dealer called today to let me know my bike was on the rack and will be ready for me to pick-up tomorrow!
He asked if I wanted to come in and take a look it, I was over there in about two hours. The Inferno Orange is spectacular, it was causing a pretty big stir in the dealership. They are putting on the WindVest, sissybar, backrest, luggage rack and turn signal kit. No SERT so I'll have to keep the exhaust as is for now. Can't wait..........

I was gonna say that!!  I was there on Friday too!  Did you have the '98 Pace Car in the parking lot?

I was the guy holding up the checkout line in the gift shop, with the bad credit card.

It was it was, it was...Now I am back to waiting for my bike to join me...seems to be the story of my life.  My bike was waiting for me for 3 months now I am waiting for it for 2 with 600 miles in 5 days in between.  The new pictures will have to wait but should be awesome once I get to ride again...this area is spectacular...seems built for riding.

Now if they can only get the touring bikes done. My SECU3 was supposed to ship on 8/6 and still no word on a ship date.
