A prediction!
« on: August 27, 2007, 01:45:36 PM »

I remember at Maggie Valley when I met Spiderman.
Reading his post on this site and never meeting the man I had reservations as to who was the bigger ass,
me or him. Sorry Brian, you lost!
Typing size 10 Verdana font on an internet site will never let you see what or who someone really is and what they are all about. Brian turned out to be the big teddy bear that we all now enjoy and respect and someone that I call friend.

So now about my prediction. ;)

Was sitting here going back thru some of Hoist and Rhino's old post.
I think that in a face to face meeting and discussion that both of these guys will find they have a common ground.
I have had the privilege of meeting Hoist and enjoyed that.  (I think :o)
Haven't met Rhino but have read ALL of his post and have enjoyed them.
Both of these guys are welcome to our home anytime they are in the area.
The best that I can tell, both of these guys are outstanding in their own fields and have a lot to share with us.
I predict that they will find common ground and both will give a little and become friends.

I sure hope so because for me it's an honor to call both of them a friend!

Wow talk about stirring the pot,

Each time I read this post I have visions of the Jerry Springer and waiting to hear the bell ring that they play on the show.   ::)

So now about my prediction. ;)

Was sitting here going back thru some of Hoist and Rhino's old post.
I think that in a face to face meeting and discussion that both of these guys will find they have a common ground.

Common ground?  According to USA Boxing's rule 104.1:
(1) The ring shall not be less than 16 nor more than 20 feet square within the ropes; the apron of the ring floor shall extend beyond the ropes not less than two feet. The ring shall not be more than four feet above the floor of the building or grounds of an outdoor arena and shall be provided with three sets of suitable steps for the use of boxers, coaches and officials, one in each boxer's corner and one in a neutral corner for use by doctors and referee.

I have had the privilege of meeting Hoist and enjoyed that.  (I think :o)

Haven't met Rhino but have read ALL of his post and have enjoyed them.

I use a ghost writer most of the time.

Both of these guys are welcome to our home anytime they are in the area.

Thanks, I have about twenty guys and their beachues heading up to Virginia from Florida on their bikes for a 'special club rally'. Unfortunately I can't go, because it is at the same time as Hot Springs, but after I told them of your offer, they will be stopping in NC at your place for some rest, please leave key under mat.  I told them they needed to change the sheets and cleanup the beer and dope too before they left on their way. Only proper

The best that I can tell, both of these guys are outstanding in their own fields and have a lot to share with us.

I was outstanding in my field with my laptop taking a wizz while reading this, whats going on? You spyin on me with Google or sumptin? Did'nt want to share that.

I predict that they will find common ground and both will give a little and become friends.

See #1. And Hoist will give a little. That's my prediction.

I sure hope so because for me it's an honor to call both of them a friend!

I was on a roll till this one, but now you are making me all teary eyed......

So Chip my friend, what was the exact address again?

Hot Springs here we come!

Nice, I like it when people make me feel so warm and fuzzy, Chip, my friend, my only friend. Those words your said, my friend.... Very nice.  I even told this to my psychiatrist, and she said she was happy I found a new friend, it's a new step for me. After serving almost 22 years in that darn place after the incident in 86, she was hoping I might finally be stable enough to venture out.  Thank you again Chip, I really look forward to meeting you and your family and kids and relatives and as a matter of fact, I might even look for some property in your town too. It would make it real easy to spend more time together.
Warmest regards,
Rhino

To avoid misinterpretation, Nothing in the above is true for my responses although my parole officer and shrink and counselor and hall monitor said i should add this becasue of the legal ramifications of what happened long ago...no wait... this is all in fun...but I could not chance leaving it the way it was becasue some of you are really slow.. no actually, i really appreciate the warm welcome Chip is giving to us city boyz, and I am sure we will be having a wonderful, and hilarious visit.  I am personally looking forward to my second roundup. It always becomes a very unique experience, thats for sure. Ride on Bros & Sisters, see you in HS, and certainly be hearing from me a lot long before then too. Rhino...S

I'm sorry, what is the prediction?   :nixweiss:

That for the most part, no matter how rude and crude someone may be while typing on a public forum site, they actually may be real nice folks deep down inside when you meet them in person?  Or that someone who may appear to be nice, really isn't at all?

And as for Ron's scrolling post, I had to copy it to read it.   :D Made me ROFL, thanks for that?

I believe in Chips dream, I mean his prediction, is that me and Howie are best buddies. And BTW, staying up all night won't get your purdy bike fixed any faster....or will it????      Rhino

I have not stayed up all night.  I was in bed at nine last night and slept all the way until almost 0300!  But I will sneak off now and try to grab another few winks before the alarm goes off at 0445.  I sure wish my purdy bike was fixed and in my garage.  It has been so long since I saw it that I am beginning to wonder if I even have a purdy, two tone cherry bomb.   :(  But to make me feel a little bit better, Jamey took the other two bikes off to the tuner to get worked on, so there are no bikes in the garage right now.

Holy crap, what an interesting thread! ::) I got all choked up reading it! ;D

Actually, I haven't met one person here that it wasn't my pleasure to meet! Then again, I haven't met everyone yet! :D

But the bottom line is you can't fully read someone til you meet them. You get a general idea, as long as that person is sincere. But you tend to form preimpressions of people while only communicating online. Facial expressions, body language and emphasis are missing here. Serious, humorous, or sarcastic. Which is it? We do have a special group though, and our common interest brings together all kinds of people, from all walks of life. Yet we get along great and go out of our way for each other. Whether we've met or not! There's also an unusual number of Type A personalities here. So a little arguing wouldn't be uncommon. But all-in-all we have something special here, and our bikes are what brought us together! What could be better!

So as long as Rhino predicts that I'll give a little, who am I to ruin his dreams! (I mean prediction! ;D )

Binx and I are really looking forward to meeting and riding with ya'll again! And those we never met, we can't wait for that either! Have a safe trip everyone, and we'll see ya'll in Clinton/Memphis?HS!!! :2vrolijk_21:
