Shark Fin Exhaust Tips
« on: August 28, 2007, 11:24:40 AM »

I was talking to my Parts guy and he has informed me that Mo Co has discontinued the shark fin exhaust tips. So if any of you folks have peeling, missing or dented tips now is the time to scoop them up.  I'm also replacing some chrome parts that have the dreaded peeling chrome disease. I never had this problem on my 80's and 90's Harley's. They need to find another plating company or improve their plating process. Its probably cheaper to pile all the peeling parts and replate then replace. My front engine guard (crash bar) has peeling chrome. This is a $200.00 item.

I moved this thread here from the SEEG section.  With the references to the shark fin end caps and FrankD's avatar, it seemed like it belonged here instead.
