Well, I won the auction.  Had my eye on a pretty little XL 883 since the Monday before last.  Won the auction on Monday.  Was planning on picking up the new acquisition this Saturday, but the seller was leaving town for awhile, so I coagulated my fecal matter and drove down to Peachtree City, Georgia yesterday and picked up this little jewel.  Appears to be the perfect canvas for an awesome project.  Already making plans to give it to Red this winter for some engine work.  So for now, she sits in the green bike's spot while she's down at Red's shop getting some serious "fitness training."  Why have I been looking for a Sporty.......you may ask?  Here lately, my lovely bride has expressed an on-again-off-again desire to get off the back of the green bike and do her own thing.  I gotta support that.  So until she completes her MSF BRC and Ol' Thumper comes back from South Alabama, I'm gonna have some fun with this little squirt!

Me too!  That's why he's doing the work on the green bike and will get the engine work on the Sporty.

Just don't let her do what my wife did! Went to rider's safety class, got her licence, an hour later popped the clutch and gave it to much gas pulling out from a side street and put the Sporty thru a fence! She only go a few bruises, bot got it worse. Pulled the wires out of the right controls when it spun 180*, broke the right side plate holding the brake pedal and peg, tore off the fork stop tab on the trip tree, ripped off the mirrors, and screwed up the pipes!
