Took the Sporty out this morning and wore her butt out for about a hundred miles.  She's a SLUGDAWG off idle, but she did manage to toss the front wheel in the air a little on a high RPM clutch pop into second.  Sorta surprised me, even though it was intentional.  Got her home, did a COMPLETE service, with AMSOIL of course, washed her, Glared her, NEVR DULL on the polished parts, and detailed her up real good.  She looks great.  I had her out front a few minutes ago taking some pictures when her future rider decided to hop on her.

Here's another shot.  She got new stuff this weekend:  Black Hand Control Levers, Billet Layback Tag Frame, and a Tachometer with Chrome Bezels.  I can't stand not having a tach, so that was one of the first things I did.  Black Forward Controls and Black Framed Mirrors are on order.  Still trying to decide what footpegs, shifter peg and hand grips we'll get.  The direction is to blackout the bike with subtle chrome accents.

Henry

Good looking bike!

Last Sporty I had was an Axtell Mtn 88" motor.
Awesome bike.
I'm sure Rednectum knows about those!
I love a hot rod Sportster!

Also, you clearly must live somewhere that doesn't have water restrictions.
With restrictions here my grass is a lovely shade of brown.  :'(

NICE LOOKING BIKE.

Thank you, Sir!  We were very fortunate to find one in this condition.  Were finished buying new Harleys.  2006 and older from now on........and I venture to say we're gonna keep what we get.   :2vrolijk_21:

Very nice Sporty Henry, I bet your better half is excited!  Now, I also have to add that your garage is way too clean!  Mine wasn't that clean when the house was new.   :nixweiss:   Have fun with the new ride.

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' 'bout!  Pure Hot Rod!  Gotta love it.  I 'magine that scooter was a rush.  Wonder what Red is thinking about for our Sporty?

Also, you clearly must live somewhere that doesn't have water restrictions.

Yessir!  And I have the water bill to prove it!  :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:  Honestly, our house is a year old.  Last year we managed to get the sod in the front and sides to root before it got cold.  The builders around here only seed the back yard.........or take your first born to sod it......so when it started warming up, the back yard looked like the lot before we built.  Huge stalk weeds and thistle.  I have an engineered septic system, so I couldn't disc the backyard.  Had to burn off the weeds with Roundup, wait a month, then throw down about $400 worth of Coastal Bermuda seed.  It took very well, since I've been watering twice a day every day with each of the three automatic sprinkler stations running for 30 minutes at a time.  I supplement the back yard with a huge impact sprinkler.  I have to mow at least once a week, or it gets out of control.

Chip, it appears you live next to a lake.  Is anything stopping you from using it as a source to irrigate your yard?  I would think it would be hard for "the man" to chastise you for using lake water to keep your yard green.........IMHO.

HENRY<-------has issues with cleanliness, tidiness, orderliness..........you might call this guy obsessive/compulsive...........another byproduct of Warrant Officer Candidate School!   :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:  And before you say it, NO, I wasn't a "locker Nazi."  I did, however, spend alot of time helping my fellow candidates get their stuff right.  GAWD........that was a LONG time ago.

Karl, it isn't ALWAYS that clean..........but it doesn't stay dirty too long, or it will drive me out of my mind.   :P

Henry...bike looks good, bro.  I like the theme you've got in mind too.  Get Renea trained on that thing and then let Red do his thing to it.  You've got her all shined up with the Glare... :2vrolijk_21:

I knew I did, but I wasn't really sure why I liked you Henry till this post.

From a guy that believes "what can shine will shine"  I have no issues with someone that likes clean, tidy and orderly!
