Interior shot.

Man I miss Picture Trail picture hosting.  I guess I'll have to settle for something else soon.  Being able to attach only one picture post sucks... :(

This will be sitting in my garage for a few more weeks, hopefully not much longer.  I get it Highway Patrol inspected Tuesday and then Wednesday I take it to the Harley dealership for the state safety inspection.  Once all that's done, off to get plates and put it up for sale.

It's only taken me 12 years to get to this state of completion... :)

That's cool Dan.  12 years ago was the plan then still to immediately flip it?  Or have RV and retirement and life in general created a new time and calculus?  Seems a shame not to ride it around for a few days/weeks/months/year or two....  :)

Don, actually I bought the parts to build and ride with my friend that I purchased my '76 FLH from.  He had purchased a solo bar hopper bike with a Rev-Tech 100" and I thought how hard is it to build a bike something like that.  Well as it turned out, not too hard.... But you do need to stay enthused and excited about the build.  I did not... :(  His wife and Linda and I did Sturgis a couple times together and they live just a couple miles from us in Lake St Louis.  But as would have it, our wives had a falling out about six months after I bought all the parts and he was NOT allowed to even talk to me again.

So over the years with it just sitting on my table lift taking up room, I did other things around the house.  I then got fired up about building a Harley powered three wheeler like the new Morgan Three Wheeler from the UK.  I started to accumulate trike type build parts, but someone on the Talk Morgan forum Photoshopped the M3W into a M4W and I was sold on a 4-wheeler.  Also Linda would NOT have to have a motorcycle endorsement on her license.  The M4W design eventually morphed into a MG M-Type replica of sorts, only a bit larger to let my fat arse fit into the interior.  Sorry for digressing.  Linda said that IF I did want to build something, have at it... BUT no money from our retirement or a loan.  So the Boardtrack build hit the front burner again about a year ago.

And now it's completed and runs great.  I can't believe how well this Ultima 113" motor runs.  After sitting for a couple days, pull out the enrichener (choke), push the compression releases, flip the ignition switch and hit the starter.  Not more than two revs and it's running!  WOW!  The warmed up idle sound awesome too... Complete with all the normal "real" bike stuff, horn, hi/low beams, turn signals/flashers, horn, front/rear brake light switches, hydraulic clutch, HHI 4-piston chrome calipers, polished stainless rotors, Paughco springer, hidden kill switch for safety etc.  Ultima 2" belt drive with Barnett clutch springs and Ultima 6-speed.  Dakota Digital MCL-5400 gauge set with turn signal/flasher indicators, low oil indicator, speedo, odometer, trip meter, hi beam indicator, neutral indicator, low voltage, but no tach.  Rich Philips saddle leather seat with springs.

I should be riding it this coming week.  Tuesday trailer it to Troop C in south county for their title etc inspection and then Wednesday I get to ride it to St Charles Harley for the state safety.  From there insurance and plate!  Don't know yet where I will advertise it for sale, but hopefully it will sell quickly.
