I love them, and the lake I am on is Huge, 90 miles from Dam to Dam. 2 miles across from my house. Rarely are there any jetskis running near my home. Being mine is a 4 stroke it is quieter than most the fast boats on the lake, quieter than my boat.
Bass boats are what annoy me, 0530 take off, 30 plus going by the house. Wakes you up when your trying to sleep.
Not the engine noise that's annoying, Dave - it's the thump, thump, thump as they go through the wakes/waves.
You'll see my lake here: www.eqc.co.uk/house - photos are 30 years old, and what you don't see is that right opposite my house is a big trailer park (circled), which gets filled every weekend by inner city trash and their brats, all pulling a jetski on a trailer with their SUVs. The lake is 7 miles long and maybe 1/3 mile at the widest (most of the length, see the shape in photo). We sit in a "bowl" of hills which act as an amplifier for the thumps, and no matter where you go, all you hear for ten hours a day are the damn jetskis - which don't go up and down the lake, but stay in the area of the trailer park.
It's a matter of great satisfaction to me that when my septic tank overflows, it discharges into the lake.
