The SERG (Screamin Eagle Road Glide) was the first CVO out.  So why is this forum so slow??

Maybe it needs a moderator that rides a SERG?

The FXR section is slow and if I'm not mistaken the FXR2 was the first CVO. [smiley=confused5.gif]

Somebody else would probably be able to answer this factually.  I could be wrong, since I wasn't following the CVO's back then.

The 2 designates the second year of that model.

Hd stopped producing FXR's in 1994. In 1999 they reintroduced in limited quantities the FXR which was the FXR2 with all the exta goodies CVO's are known for and also in 1999 they made the FXR3's all with Evolution engines. In 2000 they introduced the last FXR the FXR4 which also has an EVO eng. and in limited quantities. Prior to 1999 FXR's (1994 and earlier) weren't equipped with the extra chrome. They were produced just like a Dyna Lowrider and others. If you wanted the extras you purchased them and installed them. Not trying to sound like an azzhole. Just trying to be informative. I like all the CVO bikes. The FXR's just seem to be the least known about. I enjoy learning about all the CVO bikes from the folks on this site. Have learned alot that I didn't know prior to stumbling onto this forum.

FXR$ thanks for the education.  I just learned some things that I didn't know before.  I think you should have posted this up in the main thread, thow.  A lot of people don't look down here unless they're riding a Glide.

I did send an email of to HD asking them what was the first model of CVO.  Should get an answer back in the next day or two.

I guess your probably right about posting in the main thread. We just got to talking back and forth here and personally I like the RoadGlides. I seem to just read others posts because most don't include my ride. I do like to read others posts about all the newer CVO's. Lets me know what's going with the them. I guess when you ride a certain type bike you tend to be more knowledgeable on it than others. I've learned alot about other CVO bikes that I didn't

The 2 designated that it was not a regular production FXR

There never was an FXR 1
