Billy:

I called Spectro and they found a Distrubutor and Dealer in my area.

You may have to do the same:

http://www.spectro-oils.com/contact_us.htm

Good Luck! Thanks For the help I will call and get a distibuter in my area. . Did you use the oil yet and how much of a difference did it make? Billy

Started out using Bel-Ray tranny lube, and it did help but not as much as I had hoped for.  Been using the Spectro for last 7-8,000 miles and it is night and day different in improving tranny smoothness and eliminating the whine.

Two-up and cruising on level highway it's actually hard to tell if your in 5th gear or 6th based on sound alone!  Turn the radio off, start up an incline and just the slightest hint of noise under load.

After the IDS and Spectro in the tranny, it feels like a new bike!  Smoothest touring rig I've ever ridden!

I'm assuming that the sprocket used with the IDS is made of aluminum. I want to see if I can have it chromed. It is shown as only available in black.  ???
If it comes standard on the 08's, are the SE bikes also equipped with the black sprocket or is there a SE only version out there? :nixweiss:

The new sprocket is made of aluminum. It will look good chromed. I think the 08's come black as well.

It would definitely qualify as "stealth chrome" as you can't even see the IDS on my bike.

For those of us with 2-1 pipes without ghost pipe you really see black IDS pulley >:( Thus taking out the question of stealth chrome.

I've noticed its "lack of beauty" when my saddlebags are off for cleaning too. It's especially plain looking when you see the galvanized looking part through the wheel from the right side of the bike. I guess if that part really is galvanized, then it could probably be chromed!!   :cherry: Yeee Haawwwww!!  :pepper:

The MOCO marketing strategy is likely to offer the plain ugly IDS this year and then come out with the shiny chrome version next year so everyone gets to buy it twice!      :huepfenlol2:

Yup, fitted it to mine on Sunday!  :huepfenjump3:

(haven't ridden with it on yet though - the rain started just as I finished....)  Nice easy job, wouldn't dream of paying to have it fitted!  If you are buying the kit though, get the dealer to press the bearing in before you take it home! (unless you have a press, that is!)

Removed the balance weights from my wheels the other week and installed the ceramic beads from http://www.innovativebalancing.com/motorcycle.htm too. I'm impressed!  Wheel balance seems perfect, AND it's got rid of the nasty weights from my chrome wheels too - corrosion would be a certainty to start there...

Jim

Hi Jim - where did you buy the Dynabeads from ?

OK - thanks for that Jim. Sounds like a good option, especially for the Chrome SE wheels. Much cleaner look and as you say it removes a potential corrosion area.

Thanks.
