Well, it can now begin. Henry came by today and we went over to se Vern, my bike, and my future new engine. I will now be starting a new thread to alert, educate, and warn ya'll of the dangers of all these mail order vendors we're using with their "supposed" bolt on packages! BULLCHIT!!! Be very careful people. You're not getting whjat you think you are from these people! If you don't build engines, and have all the necessary tooling, you guys are in for a real surprise. Boy am I glad Vern's building this motor!!! :o

Here are some pics from the shop today. Don't ask about the above warning here. I'll be starting a thread and explaining all the pitfalls in detail. These pics will be very close to the end of this thread too. I'll be starting a new on specifically about Cybil's rising from the ashes again into an '07 FLHRSE3-07B! ::)

First pic, Vern was unofficially showing me how my clearanced piston/cyl assembly is still not properly clearanced or even recross-hatched! Dial indicator to measure cylinder diameter. The piston, measured with the caliper, per CP Piston's specs, do not comply, even after being setup by the vendor twice!

Bottom end outside the bag so Vern can demonstrate what he found and what he's gonna do about it! Note the new Torrington cam bearings that replaced the stock HD cam bearings.

Cylinders slid on bottom while Vern further describes my vendor issues. This bottom end, BTW, consists of new HD cases converted to a Timken bearing design, and a new S&S 4-3/8" stroke flywheel assembly with S&S Rods. These are the 4" Axtell cylinders.

These are a bunch of parts to convert the rest of the engine to a REAL HIPO motor. All the stuff for the gear drive cams, all the Feuling hardware, lifters, pushrods, camplate, OP, etc!

My bike's future heart, put back aside, ready to be built by a professional starting next week. Last one for now. The fun will really start while I turn the mail order aftermarket perfomance industry on it's ear!!! You ain't gonna want to miss this. Scott, you'll need to read this! :o ;)

Thanks iski! Vern will now properly fit the pistons to CP's specs! He's got to take .0005"-.001" more out of the cylinder and properly cross-hatch after! He'd never bolt the junk they sent me on a brand new engine!!!

Don't know what Cycle-rama was thinking except that I'd have another idiot working on my bike like the HD dealer, so they didn't care. But they're busted big time now!!! Not very happy with them as you can tell. Work not done properly by vendor, as well as many other short cuts taken by vendor! Buyer beware! And Wes never had the courtesy to even get on the phone to discuss it with me or Vern. Had to deal with Pam from there on!!! NEVER AGAIN FOLKS!!! ;)

Howie, truly sorry you have had such a clusterf--k experience dealing with crappy vendors & all.  You have a good builder with Vern & he won't stick it together unless it's right.   :2vrolijk_21:

Cycle-rama rep is out there & it sucks.  Amazing when they knew the details & just shipped the them anyway.  Unbelievable.  Most here will never do business with them, maybe they have enough biz elsewhere & just don't care or figured it was too much of a hassle to get it right.  Either way, it speaks volumes. 

NEVER AGAIN FOLKS!  That's some wise words - once screwed shame on them, twice screwed, shame on me.
