They also have chrome handles you can add to give them more bulk.
Part #91668-05 and $49.95 .

I am certain that Charlie (RedDevil) and at least one other person has these on their SEUC, with the added cover handle, and had no issue in mounting them.  The HD catalog says a lot of things won't fit, but they do.

Don't have them - Don't want them.
Had them on the 02 Ultra and wifey never used them.  She still likes to hang on to me :love_3:

I had the strap on the new bike >> took it off....It reminded me of the seat strap on and old Honda 750-4 I had years ago.

I could see these being handy on an RK, or other bike without a "wrap around" back rest like the Ultras have, otherwise I don't really see much use for them other than a "Gawdamighty" handle, or to keep the BSR's butt from bouncing off the seat.  When Suzanne is sleeping back there, she doesn't even tilt over... ;)

The better half really missed the grabb rails I had on the 02 Ultra, so I went and bought the set along with the chrome and rubber grab handle covers...(actually complements the Ironside collection on the CVO  ;) )  They fit fine with about 1/2" clearance at both speaker pods.  If you have the tour pak relocation bracket on your Ultra, they won't even come close to interfering with the speaker pods.    The wife is much happier now that she has her "confidence handles" back.  And if she's happy when we're riding, then I'm happy.  ;)  The strap that the MoCo replaced the grab handles with is a worthless POS.  It was a pure cost cutting measure that the MoCo did.

Doesn't that help hold the seat on the bike?

No, the strap is there for the passenger to hold onto. The seat is held on by the tang at the front and the screw at the rear. Oooo, that sounds dirty.  :D

Ordered rail from Zanotti's and fits fine.  I am now considering adding the Corbin CVO saddle and passenger section is 15" wide.  Anyone know what the stock seat width in that area is?  Unsure exactly how to measure it.

Corbin said they had experienced some fit interference on earlier models with the grab rail.  But of course that was before CUSEs and they haven't tried it on them.  The CVO saddle is a little wider than the std dual tour saddle for an stock ultra and I just wonder if it will fit with the grab rail.

I would like them just as an attachment point for a seat bag I am interested in...

Keep us posted if your handles end up fitting on our CVO ULtras...

The parts book is wrong!! I just put a set on my 07 SEU2 ( with the fancy covers ) They fit fine. Judy has her own bike, I ride solo, but they are very handy for a bungee & IMHO they look cool with the covers. Thats my 2cents worth.

Don't have my bike with me right now - guess where it is?  If someone could measure the distance between the rails I'd sure appreciate it.  See my post about if the Corbin will fit - passenger section of seat is 15" wide.
