The parts book is wrong!! I just put a set on my 07 SEU2 ( with the fancy covers ) They fit fine. Judy has her own bike, I ride solo, but they are very handy for a bungee & IMHO they look cool with the covers. Thats my 2cents worth.

Ordered rail from Zanotti's and fits fine.  I am now considering adding the Corbin CVO saddle and passenger section is 15" wide.  Anyone know what the stock seat width in that area is?  Unsure exactly how to measure it.

Corbin said they had experienced some fit interference on earlier models with the grab rail.  But of course that was before CUSEs and they haven't tried it on them.  The CVO saddle is a little wider than the std dual tour saddle for an stock ultra and I just wonder if it will fit with the grab rail.

The grab handles won't fit a Corbin dual tour seat - I tried.

Thanks Bungy, I was afraid of that.  Is the seat pan itself too wide or is it just the side of the seat?  If the pan will fit I wonder if they could just use less fill material and make it a little narrower.

How bad was it - close or way too wide?

Thanks

I finally got around to taking some pics of the grab rails and covers on my SEUC2.  Great fit and the covers match up with the Ironside collection pretty good.

Dang, RD, that looks relly good.  Now I'll have to spend another $50 bucks for the covers.  Oh well.  Wish I had a Corbin dual tour to borrow to see about fit.  Bungy says no.  Measured stock seat passenger section and it is about 16" wide at top & of course tapers down to bottom at seat pan.  Corbin is 15" but measured where?

HQ really likes the grab rails so if I have to stay stock so be it.

It's not so much the width, the Corbin is more contoured around the fender than the stocker. After I put the grab rails on the seat wouldn't go down all the way to engage the screw.

Ultra,
The better half really likes the covers.  Says it adds more grip area, and I guess that equates to more confidence. :nixweiss: One thing I've learned after 33 years of marriage is if Momma's happy, then I'm happy.  She likes the stock seat, says it's very comfortable and definitely likes the heat.  Says that's theraputic, whatever that means.

Wouldn't give up the heat for sure but Corbin has that also.  Like a friend told me once - a remote for your tv is not a necessity until you've had one.  Same for the heated seat, grips, etc.  Once you've enjoyed it you don't want to go back.

Remove the rider back rest and seat, then remove the three nuts securing the back rest lock on the fender

Remove the lock, the rails have to go under, and on top of the fender

Set the back rest lock assembly on top of the rails and secure the three nuts

Put the seat back on and ride!

It's tight, but that's the way we like it!
