out trip to south Florida (Naples) Lots of bugs I just wanted to show Dave's bike Dirty not often seen :o

Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :shocked2: :shocked2: :shocked2:  I have heard about the love bugs but never seen a photo like that of what they can do!  And you're not kiddin' about "Dave's bike dirty . . . not often seen."  He keeps a spotless scoot. :2vrolijk_21:  He's got a lot of work ahead of him now, though. :huepfenlol2:

THAT looks familiar!  Though I do miss Lower Alabama, I'm glad we're not there during love bug season.  Best to ya while cleaning it.......and grab a clothespin.  :wiseguy:

I just couldn't imagine having do deal w/them. It would drive me crazy to have those bugs on my bike. From what I hear if you don't get them off quickly they can do real damage to paint/finish. :nervous:

Yessir.  They will jack up your paint in less than a day.  Getting them off shortly after you get where you're going is imperative.  Renea's car is proof.

Dave looked more like the Bike I was blocked by him it was like a rain storm my hands felt them it was nasty. Dave cleaned the bike right away that was early part of the summer I just never got around to posting it.

Now I know why I have been lucky enough to be in Florida in the winter time.  Not a pretty site.   Dodging horse flys in August isn't quite that bad.

It is a good idea that after the 1st rinse ( to get the loose stuff off) to mix up a bucket of hot water and disolve baking soda, 1 gal H2O to 1 cup soda in it.  Soak some towels and lay them on to soak a bit.  The lil fuggers are full of acid and will eat the clear down through the paint.  The alkalinity of the baking soda disolved in the water helps neutralize the guts. 

Add them, hurricanes and the loss of english as the native language and you have South Florida!  Oh I forgot headless drivers (so old they can't be seen from behind) and cell phone yakking transplants that don't know where the hell they are going.   :soapbox:
