Happy with your new ride!
« on: September 19, 2007, 12:24:57 AM »

Hi CVO Tribe,
I'd love to hear from those of you who are glad that you bought a SEUC and why.
I'm tired of reading about all of the issues.

Well I love mine. 2000+ miles out & back to HS and no real problems. I love the looks & the paint. I wanted the Black & Orange theme. The leather TP is unique to the 6/7 years so it's even more special. I wanted reliablity & ridablity and that is what I got. When the key is turned on,  the bike goes! That makes me happy. I've done the modifications that make me happy and that's all that counts.
Ride safe.

Jimmy,

We all seem to get hung up on the problems, and there are some, but all in all, I think most people love their bikes. I've got a leaky head gasket, but that didn't stop us from mounting up and heading out to Hot Springs. The bike ran great. It's still filthy from the rain, but it didn't miss a beat the whole trip.

I could be happier if it didn't have the leak, but other than that, it's great.

Have had our 2008 SEUC3 for about a week and a half. Put on about 700 miles and loving every one of them. The month delay was a killer, but other than that very happy.

Why....Well spousal unit loved the chrome, larger engine and the color...but what really closed the deal was the standard heated seat.  :pineapple: Oh, yea, we like unique and didn't want to get a bike that looked like the rest of the thousands and thousands on the road.

I couldn't be happier. Only got 700 miles so far, if I didn't have any other responsibilities I'd never get off of it. Knock on wood, no mechanical issues.  :)  As for why I went w/ SE, the look(no shopping cart bumpers), the power, all the standard features(heat, stereo stuff). Its pretty close to complete right out of the box IMHO.

Had my 07 SEUC for 6 weeks now and 860 miles.  I'm very pleased with it, and having traded a Triumph sprint 1050 st, I hope to live longer.  That thing was toooo fast.
Comfort, and Cool are the way to go.
Just need to get 1st service done and change Exhaust, Air Cleaner, fit PC etc.
And the Wife is happy on the back (First bike she's ever suggested going for a ride on).

Jimmy

Had the new 08 SEUC for almost two months.  No problems at all - NONE.  And, the oil temp on mine is running around 220 degrees.
Waiting on HD to come out with pull-back handlebars and a few other things.
Loving it so far.

Have 07 that I picked up last October now have over 8,000 miles & love it.  No serious problems, it has been a great bike.  I belive the problems with these bikes has been way over stated - those that have had problems appear to have been resolved by the dealers or HD.
