I ordered a solo seat about 10 weeks ago. Told I would get it in 4 to 6 weeks. Called them at 8 weeks and they said everybody was returning the seats they sent because they wouldn't fit.  :'( They said they were getting a '07 SERK to redesighn the seat on 10/18. Hope they did as I'm getting a little tired of waiting. Also, they never called or e-mailed to tell me anything....I had to call them, so customer support is a little lacking it seems!

As of Thursday they had not.

If any of you have a SERK 3 and live in CA - can you help your brothers out?

Help me out. I'm totally confused here! :confused5:

Rich 07 has a heated Flame-Stitched Corbin Dual Touring Saddle on his SERK3. I liked it and rode Chief's SEUC with one. It was the first time I tried one. I liked it, and when I got back from HS, I ordered one too. The same as Rich's. It should be here in 2 weeks. There was no problem ordering it. After all the scuttlebutt here about Corbin SERK seats, I called Jenny from Charlies HD, where I ordered it, and asked her to confirm that it's for a SERK3 specifically. She contacted them, and confirmed it was a SERK seat. Granted, there is a slight gap between the dash and seat nose, but nothing I thought was ghastly or anything. Didn't seem like much more gap then the stock SERK3 seat.

What are the issues ya'll are complaining about? Is it for a different seat than the Dual Touring Saddle? Mine should get here in about 2 weeks. I'll let ya'll know how it fits and take some pics for ya'll. But like I said, if it fits like Rich's, it'll be fine with me.

Howie,

I ordered a solo seat with a seperate passenger pillion.  If they have made a dual tour seat already you would THINK they could use that to make the solo, but apparently not.  My only complaint is that is has not been shipped - nothing else.  Their answer as to why is that it doesn't fit properly right now and they do not have a SERK to finalize the fit on.

I would rather wait and have one that is right.   It is just frustrating that they have not done it yet.

Good luck with yours,

Doug

Just got home from riding...it was 55 degrees out and the heat was turned on my Corbin Dual Tour Flame Stiched heated seat and I was lovin it.  Some days I find the seat very comfortable and other days I find it not as comfortable.  I am mixed about the comfort but sold on the heat and looks.  I am curious to see how others like their seats as they arrive.

I might know why people are having problems ordering Flame-stitched seats for SERK's. I just found out that Corbin discontinued their Flame-stitched pattern. They have a "Wildfire" Stitched pattern now. Evidently, that's what they're doing my seat in. They did my passenger sissy bar backrest pad in that pattern, and they're making me a TP Backrest with the same pattern for me too. Don't know if that's the problem ya'll are having, but there is a lot of confusion over this. Good luck gang. I'll let ya'll know what happened after I get my stuff back from them. Right now, all I've gotten is the Backrest Pad. ;)

Got my Corbin solo seat today :orange: Just like the one pictured on their web site for the SERK! Fit like a charm. Only took about 5 minutes to install. Did learn that the solo detatchable mount for the tour pack will not work with this seat without modification...that took a little longer! Now for the test ride!

Whenever hear one described I always think a forward mounted tour pak is going to look funny.  Every time.  Then when seeing them they look pretty darn good.  Every time.  Really nice looking seat and rig there.  Hope it serves well.

Quite a few of us added rear crash guards to the bikes.

I got lucky, my eBay dual tour I got a month ago has the relief cuts  :2vrolijk_21:
