I've been hanging around a while and finally decided to join you fine folks as a member. I hope there's room for at least one more at the table!
I currently have a 2007 Dyna SE (blue/granite) that I purchased in July, here in Wilmington. I must say that I was somewhat skiddish about getting it given the problems identified by several of you (thanks to all of you for your very candid comments and remarks about the 110ci motors). However, I decided I liked the bike so much I'd take the gamble that they had all the bugs worked out so late in the model year. I'm glad I did, as I really (REALLY) do like this bike!
A bit of history........
I started riding when I was abut 11 years old (almost 40 years ago). My family owned the Honda dealership in my home town of Rockingham, NC when I was in high school and college. Kept riding until I got married and then decided I'd better sell the bike while the kids were growing up. Well, last year I decided I'd waited long enough and bought one of the 50th anniversary Sportsters (to celebrate my pending 50th birthday, of course!). Shortly thereafter, I started looking more and more at the FXDSE, and the rest is history as they say.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to being a part of this discussion board. Thanks for having me!
